Changing the starting date just changes the starting date (current options 1970-2015), the "Rule Set" is still a choice of 2006, 2014 or 2015 (it depends on the import_config file used http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/wiki/inde ... nto_EHM:EA); the Rule Set determines number of teams in a league/league rules and more

Archi's work-in-progress EHM editor will soon allow much more to be edited, including number of teams in a league and league rules (see Archi's September 23rd post here to see what's coming http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... &start=225)

Also, Riz is working on an ingame editor http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 23&t=17231

P.S Regardless of the starting date/rule set, you need a database for the year you're playing too, and currently there is no 2000-01 database (here's what's currently available http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... .php?f=116)

At this point editing the number of teams in a league is not possible (but it is will be in the future)

No, you can't use the 2015 Rule Set with the 1998 database

The 2006 Rule Set allows for Editing with the old PreGame Editor, making moving teams around relatively simple, because what you see in the PreGame Editor is what you see ingame

With the 2014 and 2015 Rule Sets what you see in the PreGame Editor is not what you see ingame! The game automatically makes the necessary changes to a modern/current database to make it fit with the 2014/2015 Set Up; the 1998 database is not set up to be switched to a 2015 Rule Set & AFAIK no one has managed to use any older database with a 2014/2015 Rule Set

The 2006 Rule Set that the 1998 database uses has 10 playable leagues (editable using the PreGame Editor), the 2015 Rule Set has 28 playable leagues (not editable using the PreGame Editor), and none of the Rule Sets allow number of teams in a league to be edited

As mentioned previously, eventually Archi's work-in-progress EHM editor will allow number of teams in a league to be edited
