Improving national team regens through editor

Discuss all aspects of editing the data and databases in EHM here. Have a question about the EHM Editor, EHM Assistant, editing the .cfg files, hex editing the .dat or .db files? Want to tweak the EHM exe file to change league rules/structure, start date etc? This is the place!

Improving national team regens through editor

Post by VezioSacratini »

Hi all, long time player, first time poster!

In the 07 version (from memory) I used the editor to improve GB clubs' youth facilities and beefed up the league rep etc.. the idea being to get better quality GB regens and draft them into the NHL. I got it to work but can't quite remember how.

I've seen a few people posting that the regen system has been overhauled for this version.. is this no longer possible?

Cheers!

Just posted this in the sticky thread but realised it's probably not the right place.. anyway I'm a long time player, first time poster.

You can still do what you did, just don't use this editor...the database is a 2007 version that you import into the new EHM, so you edit the 2007 version of the database with 2007 editors (the PreGame Editor or the EHM Updater) as you did before, and then import your edited database into the new EHM

No need to post the same thing twice; question answered where you first posted http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 31#p218231 :-)

Thanks nino, so I should edit the most recent TBL database with the 2007 editor, then import?

Appreciate all the work that's gone into the game!

That would work, with only one potential drawback...the PreGame Editor deletes all Player Roles for defensemen/forwards (but not goaltenders), so if you're going to do any editing of skaters either use the EHM Updater for your editing, or before you start editing (using the PreGame Editor) export the Player Roles using the Updater and then import them again as necessary when you've finished your editing

Thanks! In that case I'll go down the route of trying the Updater, and skip out the Pregame editor altogether.
