I will only speak for myself: I´m not a fan of PR Talk at all and try to avoid it (but I´m not naive either, all companies use such words).

On the topic: I don´t care about other games, I don´t have time to play them anyways. My focus is to continue work on FHM and make it great itself over time, if it is "the best" or not have others to decide. So I focus on our results: are they perfect? Hell no. Do I think that we already produce good results: yes, absolutely. But there is always room for improvements and I think (or at least hope) that it is clear to see that we work hard on the game every day.

Waiting for a sale: fair enough, I think they are a great way to test out games nowadays. The only game I never wait for a sale is FM but then I just tell me it is for "research reasons" (always look for inspiration with the greatest game available ;)).

Tried FHM1 for a short time, but didn't get used to it. Now i'm back with FHM3 and it looks decent. I do miss the multiplayer option which is a central piece for me running and franchise from NHL to ECHL or having an additional junior league team.

Overall it looks promising although i struggle putting out a line-up/working on the lines due to a rather weird system within the strategy. I do like the depth in that system though.

Nice and fair review, thanks Alessandro. It nicely shows what areas need (and will see) our main focus in the coming months up to FHM 4. ;)

And I thought I was pretty explicit in other ways :-D

As always. ;) But nothing I can say against it. :)

So there are NHL player pictures and all that good stuff since the games been licensed? There's no videos at the moment and the only screenshot that's there is just some guy who won in shootouts.

No player pics (that would require a NHLPA license) but you have real team names, logos, background pics and real jerseys for FaceGen.

Hi All,

Is there any way how to get official logos of all clubls and competetions into FHM3?
I am not interested in players pictures but only about logos :-)

Thanks to all for help

Maybe it doesn't need to be a competition, with one being deemed better? Maybe they could be "the same yet different" and both be really good?

I have many favourite bands (for example Rush, Zeppelin, Yes, Queen, Police, Tragically Hip, Pearl Jam, and more) and don't really think of one being "better" than the others but rather all are really good (Peart and Bonham are my favourite drummers, and while they both play drums they're very different, and both are beyond really good!)

Well said, Nino, but Peart is the best drummer of all time. Not even close. 8-) :-p

I am not sure why you would post something like this unless you are trolling. They are both good games, and FHM is making huge leaps forward in playability, customization, and realism. Hopefully a healthy competition between the two games will improve both of them and give us, the fans, the best products possible.

To be fair, FHM developers will be releasing updates for the FHM3 throughout the year, so the price is worth it in my opinion. In fact, they recently released an update for OOTP17, which was originally released last spring. They definitely support their products.

You will go to this http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/board/fhm-3-mods/ for logos, facepacks, etc.; although it may be a few days or weeks before a good selection becomes available since the game was just released a few days ago.

Updates are not a great comparison point IMO.....the OOTP/FHM Updates are often connected to significant bugs (they certainly were in OOTP this year) and the updates stop 6 months after release (while EHM is still being updated 11 months after release, 20 months if you start with the EHM:EA release...and EHM will continue to receive updates)

In the same time frame I've bought the new EHM and the last two versions of FHM, and FHM has cost me more than 4 times the price of EHM

I paid $15 for EHM and $30 for FHM. I see it as good product support when the company (OOTP) continues to release updates for their product. Yes they usually stop around 6 months after release but that is usually when the season for that sport is finishing up as well. I haven't seen an update for EHM since 7/27/16 but hoping for one soon.

I love both games.

If you paid only $30 you either didn't buy FHM2 or haven't bought FHM3 (I said "in the same time frame"); compared to EHM FHM is expensive, which is all I said

I support both games, but don't love FHM yet

And the EHM update is coming (as Riz has said, the birth of his daughter this summer has understandably limited his ability to do extra work "off the clock") & with the upcoming update it'll be the third different season that the new EHM supports

So far I'm liking it. I like the news feed. I like the tactical screen and how you can select specific tactics to use. I like how you can assign player roles.

I'm still not a big fan of how FHM has you set up the scouting compared to EHM.

I also tried various versions of 'Sandbox' mode (that being all three) and I'm not too keen on it for a specific reason. The only 'Sandbox' mode that gives you the overall depth with having other leagues involved is 'Start a Sandbox Game'. 'Custom Sandbox' allows you to create up to 3 leagues, which gives you your NHL type league, farm league, and junior league. 'Sandbox Historical' only gives you the NHL. So you don't have a farm team to develop your players, instead you assign them to a 'Reserve' list. I want to use the modern era Sens in their horribly bad inaugural season, but not if the only league I have access to is the NHL. I'm hoping this gets resolved in future updates.
