After a while away from this game I found some love for my last challenge save again.

I have however decided to play it without rules after a few seasons in.
Playing with the Chicago Blackhawks and up at the 10/11 season now. We have won 4 straight Stanley Cup's between 2005-2008 and 3 straight President Trophy's between 2008-2010. However we have now failed to make the finals the last 2 seasons. The team is a scoring machine but my PP isn't the greatest, neither is the PK actually but I like our defense. Eric Staal is our star player, drafted first overall in my first year. Currently I have 8 drafted players on my roster, looking at 11-12 for next season. I will have to give up a couple of players as we are a bit too stacked and have some great talent coming in next year. So 2010/11 is the last season with this core before I start to change things up, hoping to return the cup to Chicago again.
Joe Pavelski - Eric Staal (1st OA in '03) - Ales Hemsky
Chris Kunitz - Matthew Lombardi - Tyler Johnson (39th in '08)
Marty Maltais (60th in '08) - Marco Sturm - Leo Komarov (30th in '05)
Marty Cherne - Steve Ott - Colin Greening (15th in '04)
Ryan Suter - Dustin Byfuglien
Alex Goligoski (19th in '03) - Chris Phillips
Jay Bouwmeester - Markus Seikola
Tim Thomas/Lars Pietropaulo (30th in '07)
Looking to move Kunitz (FA after this season) and Sturm (2 years left), who have been fantastic but has been forced down the lineup with some other players taking over their places. For next season I have Derek Stepan coming in, will probably have a taste this year but mainly in the AHL. Also Tarasenko is knocking on the door as well as Reilly Smith. Too many potential top 6 guys coming through. Thomas is gonna do his final season now, Pietropaulo has elite potential and will probably play about 50% of the games this year after dominating in the AHL last year. Also looking forward to signing Gordie Doyle for next year. He looks like a genuine top D-man, and having picked him at 33rd in 2009 I see it as a steal as he looked pretty great then already...NHL top 4 ready now!
