Players Unavailable after Loan?

Hi, long-time player, but first-time poster.

In multiple different saves, I've had a recurring issue come up regarding loans. In my Niagara save, prior to the start of the season, some of my players were recalled to NHL training camps (Haydon, Mantha, Knott and Moran). However, when they were sent back down, they weren't available on my active roster. They were, however, listed under the 'All Contracted' tab, and when clicking on their name, it showed that they were on the team. I somewhat got around this by trading Haydon, releasing the other three, and resigned them (albeit taking quite a while). I've had this appear in other junior saves as well; when loaning players to junior A clubs for a short period, they eventually come back but are basically unusable. On the roster, but not accessible.

I thought this was just an issue for junior saves, but upon starting a Maple Leafs save, I'm having the same issue occur again. Marner, Johnsson and Dermott were both with their respective clubs for the full season, and at the end of the season all of them returned to the Leafs. However, the same issue happened again. I was able to send Johnsson to the AHL, but because of their age, Marner and Dermott can't. They're both too good for junior and I want them in my lineup, but they aren't accessible.

Any answer or fix would be very much appreciated, as I don't want to keep releasing/resigning guys who I may lose, especially top prospects/players. Thanks.

Never really seen this but have you made sure that those payers you claim to be inaccessible are contracted with the team you are controlling ? Not just that you own their rights ?

Yeah, just went back and checked, both Marner and Dermott are signed, and under the 'Contract' tab it even signifies that they're roster players, but for whatever reason they don't appear on the main active roster page.

Did you check if Johnson played any game in the AHL, maybe he is just sitting on the roster screen as well and is not available there either ... ? Maybe loaning a player to a different league, even if that league's season is shorter and the player returns to your team, invalidates the player for the remaining of the season in his initial team's league ?

I have never read the rules regarding loaning a player so if that's the case I wouldn't know if that would be a bug or if working as intended.
