Will installing new rosters affect existing saved games?

Will installing new rosters affect existing saved games?
I've a pretty long save game (12 seasons played) going with the previous rosters, but am also tempted to start playing around with the newest TBL release. I was wondering whether that might affect my current save game in any way? Mainly does the "Recalculate Runtime Data" option do something to my current career?
