I did some testing recently, using the current TBL 2016-17 Rosters (9.0b) and the current version of EHM (1.3).
All four tests were done with the Database set on Full (maximum) & all Leagues on Enhanced, and I was Unemployed throughout the testing
Tests 1 and Test 2 were done with the Detail Level set at "Default" & Test 3 and Test 4 were done with the Detail Level Set at "Maximum" (for All)
Test 1, Test 2 and Test 3 were done with "Disable All Extra Staff" and "Disable All Extra Players selected & Test 4 was done with "Add Extra Junior Players" and "Add Players to National Team Pools" selected
Below are the top 10 results by the numbers (top 5 for Hits, Blocked Shots, ATOI, GAA and SV%), and the top 3 individuals by name; the number in brackets, when used, indicates how many players tied with the given number & also indicates 2nd/3rd place finishers for trophies); goaltenders stats are minimum 25 GP...
Length of time for 8 years simulation (HRS:MINS:SECS)
Test 1 87:20:06
Test 2 85:37:41
Test 3 95:41:30
Test 4 97:33:25
P.S. I plan on looking at NHL Draft results too (I've started the work of compiling the data) and hope to have it posted at TBL within a week or so

Two things "jumped out at me" (that I'll be letting Riz know about)
the testing shows those at the top for Blocked Shots are a little low; IRL the last three years the top 5 shot blockers have ranged 197-256, 189-283 and 177-242 while in my testing in Tests 1 and 2 the maximum was only over 200 twice (203 and 205) and 5th place ranged from 157-171 & in Tests 3 and 4 the maximum was only over 200 once (203) and the 5th place ranged from 155-170
Conn Smythe winners are to often goalies! IRL 31% of Conn Smythe winners have been goalies, while in my testing 66% of the Conn Smythe winners were goaltenders

I don't think this warrants so much research as CJ and Alessandro are working on getting the future draftees better rated.
Maybe it can be of interest on further drafts

I'm doing it moreso for Riz (if it shows something worth bring to his attention) and potential tweaking of the actual game.
For example, based on what I've noticed so far I don't think the AI is very good at making top 10 selections and I'd like to provide the "proof" that improvement is needed (or confirm that things aren't to bad! like much of what the above shows); my data compiling goes back a decade (so we can see what the IRL draftees have for PA) as well as forward 8 years in each of the 4 tests...what I've seen so far IIRC indicates top 10 draftees ingame need improvement, meaning the AI is to often drafting significantly poorer players in the top picks than ever occurs IRL
The other thing I'm hoping to look at is how "NHL ready" the very best picks are in their rookie year (i.e. can EHM provide a McDavid, Matthews, Laine, etc) - there should be a couple/few a year that "make the jump" successfully and I've seen posts saying it never occurs/rookie Attributes are to weak

FYI - since I've still got significant time I'd need to put in to complete this task (haven't looked at it lately!), and with a soon to be released update to EHM coming (1.4), I've decided to redo this testing and compile the data then, after the update is released

Remember that we'll release a new DB too so maybe you'll need to wait a day or two once the 1.4 is out
