31 team NHL with Las Vegas Golden Knights in EHM 1

Hmmm, well I've kind of narrowed the error down.

I did all playable leagues with US start date, add key staff, add players and all teams and it crashed like you said.

Then I tried everything the same but only had the major leagues first divisions playable and it worked...so the following were NOT selected:
- Czech 2nd league (WSM)
- Finnish Mestis & Suomi
- All of Great Britain
- Japan (Asia League)
- Swedish Allsvenskan
- Swiss NLB
- Southern Professional League

So all other leagues were enabled. Also started with US start date, Add key staff, Disable all extra players and Retain all teams selected.

And those settings worked..so it might be something in the database is causing the crash when one of those lesser leagues is enabled. Give it a try maybe. So if you are a fan of a Mestis or NLB team this database is probably not going to work so well for you until I figure out why it crashes or narrow it down further. But if you simply want to play with Vegas in the NHL and most major leagues in full detail - it should work with settings I listed above.

Alternative is to add Vegas to database that you currently use like TLB or whatever you use - it's a little work but not that hard.

And i cant even start the database without EHM crashing. Any ideas what im doing wrong? I have compared the Dbs in archis editor and it looks identical in league structure section, as well as in the Vegas knights club info (apart from having a different team/unique id)

Hmmm...one thing I did do was completely delete/erase the existing schedule template before importing the 31 team ones, did you do that? The only other thing I can think of is that the game is not reading your Vegas club as team "307" in the schedule template?

Got it working. The problem was that i either used a broken editor or something else, i downloaded it again and edited the same way and now it is working, I did give them a roster to start with though. The TSN "projected roster"

Broken editor? I'm using the current version of the editor and it also crashes for me. Granted I haven't done the schedules yet... which leads me to my next question:

Do you have to manually create the schedules for any leagues you expand? I added teams to the ECHL, AHL, and NHL, but I really don't want to have to manually create the schedule for each.

EDIT: Just read somewhere else that you have to manually create the schedule. Got any tips on making new schedules for the NHL and other leagues?

Hi,
I tried to add a 31th team in the NHL (not vegas, but in the same division) like BKarchitect said (pretty much), but it doesn't work, because the national team doesn't match up. I tried everything (change number team(rules & structures (basic/stages), copy schedule template, restart my DB)) and it's still the same. Maybe there is something i'm missing, but i don't know what. There is some screenshot i took to prove my point.

NEVERMIND! I figure it out by my self. Actually, I just redo the database (from TBL Roster 9.1) and delete the schedule template before adding the new team.

I now have Vegas in the game, but I recently realized I do not have a farm team. Is it possible to assign an affiliate?

You can edit the affiliate clubs (guess you want a ECHL-club as well?) in the Editor by adding a new one (two ones if u want a ECHL-club). At the moment it looks like Chicago Wolves will be Vegas farm club.


BKarchitect - Can you please help me... I can't get the NHL schedule to work, I've unpacked your saved game database and put the schedule.dat file in my Database-folder but doesn't work... I've created the team, the arena, the assistant GM (can't remember his name) and edited the league strucutres... Everythings seems just fine, I can choose the team, I can see my team in the league standings etc etc schedule is Blank exept for some random Exhibition game ...

Thankful for help, and I'm a huge fan of your Vegas-thread!

If you create an entirely new AHL/ECHL to be the farm club, would you then have to create a new schedule in the AHL as you did in the NHL with Vegas?



As to the schedule, and you may already of done this, but I did not edit the saved game database I just took the base database into the editor and exported the NHL and NHL alternate schedule. Having imported them into the TBL database I am using they appear to work in-game.
