Waiver rules

Post by dalmashimself »

Hello!

A question regarding waivers. Is it me misunderstanding the rules?

Christian Dvorak, Coyotes, in his early twenties have (6 seasons accrued and not a exempt for waivers)

Hudson Fasching, Sabres, (4 seasons accrued and not a exempt for waivers)

TBL Rosters 9.4

Many thanks in advance!

Yes. Seasons accrued has to do with free agency.

For the purposes of waivers, It's the number of years from signing their 1st NHL or pro contract, variable duration depending of the age at which they sign that said contract. Or a set numbers of games played also varying with age, whichever comes first.

Therefore it's quite hard to guess or know when a player will become eligible for waivers in EHM.

Thanks for your answer!

But then, can you help me understand why a player like, say Ben Lovejoy (I manage New Jersey Devils), have 0 accrued seasons? Looking at his history he have played at least 4 seasons with +40 games (40 games counts for one season?)

Trying to get my head around this hehe :)

Yes, 40 games to accrue a season. Depending on the database you are using, if a 2007 format DB was imported into EHM 1 format, make sure that you tick the "Recalculate Runtime Data" box to ensure that player stats are correctly recalculated. Otherwise, it would be a mistake in the way his games played as a pro were entered in.

Nop, the latest DB like the 9.4 is already converted and there's nothing you have to/can do. If you notice stuff like this you can report them on the Game Add-ons & TBL Rosters Forum, in the appropriate subsection. Lovejoy should have many seasons accrued yes, based on what you are saying since I have not verified this myself.
