Looks interesting - I stumbled on to a somewhat similar but simpler tactic for EHM1 that I posted the other day, but I'll have to give this one a go - I like the aggression haha.

It'll be interesting it hear how effective this tactic is now that version 1.4 introduces various changes to player stamina/conditioning:
In-Game Engine v83
=========================
- Adjustments to energy and condition levels during game
- Scoring level adjustments

In-Game Engine v82
=========================
- Adjustments to coach linechange AI and shift length calculations

In-Game Engine v81
=========================
- Adjustments to player stamina drops when overused and the knock-on effects to performance
- Adjustments to player overusage effects in quick sim engine

I'm scared it didn't change anything at all ... currently doing tests and will be reporting to SI. It may affect the 12 players roster exploit ''more'', something I will test in the near future as well and also report my findings to SI.

It works fine still. No tiring the players as before. But i do not use it every game.

Yeah I'd agree - similar levels of success as before, thought I might have noticed a few more injuries but that could be affected by a few different things. Balancing complex weighted variables like this is a tough, tough job... especially when you need to consider beginners in your calculation.

Online League performance:

We've been keep an eye on how teams are performing and health levels throughout their roster. The players are a bit more tired after lengthy icetime after a game and if they play over 20+ mins for forwards their health is a bit lower than the players with less icetime. Since we are only in the first few weeks of a new season so it's too soon to tell. By the 2nd weeks we are seeing more light injs (few days) so this could be an effect of the new game logic. Will continue have track and see how icetime/health/injuries come into play throughout the season. Would love for others to contribute their findings.

Thanks Riz for his hardwork and dedication to the quality of the game!!! =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

Hi

strange, I had some serious "issues" with this tactic after this update.

Just to make an example, I won ECHL, SPHL, 3 KHL and several international tournaments with this tactic, but, as far from my new NHL season, I score less, and also concede a lot, really a lot of goals (in 19 games, 8-9 for wins, and 59-64 for goals).
It seems my defense fail offen and the attack (I had a winger with 109 points last season, now he made 5 points in 19 games...) shots a lot but the puck rarely goes in.

Also with Sweden, the tactic seems far from reaching past "glory". :-x

I don't know what to say, this tactic was not incredible as the past, but the last update seems to have altered the results :dunno:

I'm new to this game so I'll give it a shot with the Oilers. The potential to get scored on more is a concern, but with McDavid, it'd definitely be worth a try :)

You will probably see a lot of 6-3,5-3,6-4,3-6,4-5,4-6 type games depending on the rest of the roster.

Gonna be interesting to see how it works with McDavid.

I've used this tactic at most every level, with a wide variety of teams. And in almost every case, I will back this up, you should get used to conceding 3 - 4 goals a game. It's almost more worth it to have a stud goalie than try to build up your defense beyond Good, especially at the lower levels. Your forwards will be amongst the leading scorers, but your goalies will suffer for it.

It can happen sometimes. For me when it does, I try switching the lines a little bit, moving some wingers up and down the roster and alternative changing up the defense. Look at the plus/minus in your team statistics, believe it or not it's a usable indicator in this game.

Also look at who's scoring and who's not, for the most part one doesn't have to do something major. Also, try line-matching with either 1vs2 & 2vs1, alternatively 1vs3 & 3vs1.

My first goal of the save when using this tactic: Acquire the best goaltender available :)

I'm thinking with McDavid, it should be fun to watch this tactic - not as fun will be squirming at the goals this tactic will allow, but hey, I grew up in the 80's. Those scores were more the norm haha

I think the point of the tactic is to just shoot and shoot hence the name of the tactic. I'm sure you can tweak it but I think having an awesome goaltender is almost a must if you want to concede less goals

The better team the less goals against, especially on goalie.

On my current file, I've usually ended up scoring between 370 and up, a few times as high as 420.

For the most part letting in 260 goals or around there, the least has been 226.

Correct. It is doable to let in less goals, but you gotta have a ton of good players then. I mean on a file I have/had. I scored as much as 571, and let in as little as 124 that season. That's extreme though! That team was insanely good with the top guy scoring 249 points and the third liners scoring 70+ points.

Those are what though, EHM 2007? In EHM 1 the tactic seems a bit muted in effectiveness, though it's still a good tactic. In EHM 1 it'll leave you more vulnerable to giving up goals, and you won't get those huge offensive numbers.

Yes it is EHM 2007, I haven't tried EHM 1 yet.

Given up 6 goals in 2 games which isn't great but I've scored 11. McDavid has 6 points already so the tactic is working so far. Very fun although i too will tweak slightly to see if the goals against can be improved without sacrificing the offence.
