International career history
Is there anyway to add flagging International games in player's history the same way as f ex "games played out on loan" or "in playoffs". I recently started to edit player histories of every player who played in Austria's Erste Bank Icehockey Liga in 2015-16 season...
But adding their international history is a bit pointless as it doesn't add up in international history...
There must be a way as the international games played AFTER the game starts do add up...

Re: International career history
I don't really think it's possible.
Would you like to share histories with the TBL DB?

Yes, I do when I get my work a bit more finished. At this point it is too much "work-under-progress", but in 2-3 weeks I should have all Austria ready.

Are you doing it with a spreadsheet? Because otherwise it's hardly useful to us.seldon71 wrote:Yes, I do when I get my work a bit more finished. At this point it is too much "work-under-progress", but in 2-3 weeks I should have all Austria ready.

Ouch!
I'm good with statistics, but not with computer lingo. Can you privately send me a model of a "useful-type of a spreadsheet" so I know how to do the work to be useful for others than just me...?

Thanks for the spreadsheet, Alessandro!
I think I can do that - yes!
However, I have couple of more questions and as a very fresh member I can not yet reply private messages or anything. How to discuss in private?

Re: International career history
No, I don't. I do use facebook chat...
Basically, my questions are these :
1) Are you already working for 2017-18 rosters? In other words, should I add the history for 2016-17 season. I'm not doing it in my own update as I am going to run 2016-17 season in the game...
2) Is it useful to mark up Loans. They do not show up as loans in current game set-up, but maybe will in future?
3) Your spreadsheet does not work for adding :
- missing/wrong places of birth
- correcting nationalities
- adding international experience
How should I inform those things as I'm also working them simultaneously....
3) I believe it is best that I first send you a more limited spreadsheet (maybe just players of a single team) to make a double-check of adaptability... Can you give me an address in private message?

Re: International career history
Unfortunately it seems the international stats are stored in a different manner in-game which is why they cannot be added via the database.seldon71 wrote:There must be a way as the international games played AFTER the game starts do add up...
We are working on the 2017/18 rosters and so ideally we need the 2016/17 stats too. But the 2016/17 is still helpful - assuming you are also adding any missing prior seasons too (otherwise it causes us real problems with tracking who is missing histories).seldon71 wrote:1) Are you already working for 2017-18 rosters? Yes please do so.seldon71 wrote:2) Is it useful to mark up Loans. They do not show up as loans in current game set-up, but maybe will in future?
You will need a separate spreadsheet for this. Here you go: https://www.sendspace.com/file/3eu54pseldon71 wrote:3) Your spreadsheet does not work for adding :

So you will need to insert the player's name in Columns B & C and the date of birth (as it appears in EHM) at Column D. You can enter any changes/corrections to Place of Birth at Column H and to Primary and Secondary Nationalities at Columns E and F. National team stats are Columns V-X. Note that the Place of Birth is entered in the following formats:
North American cities: City:State_abbreviation:Nation_abbreviation - e.g. Toronto
Rest of world: City:Nation_abbreviation - e.g. London:gbr, Vienna:aut or Berlin:ger

Re: International career history
Yeah, I am working on full histories. Some guys have got more than 30 lines of additions
I have so far gone through full 2015/16 rosters (including stats for that season) for
- Klagenfurter AC
- Graz 99ers
- EC Villacher SV
- Dornbirn
- Bregenzerwald (of Alps Hockey League)
Doing Feldkirch-roster from Alps HL right now...
Btw, what should I do with the players who are missing from the database altogether?
So far have found these :
From Dornbirn :
Kyle Greentree (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=11408). Retired now, but played in 2016-17.
From Bregenzerwalder :
Christian Haidinger (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=20610)
Johannes Lins (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=92390)
David Hauser (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=20742)
David Mitgutsch (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=21707)
Michael Unterberger (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=43037)
Julian Zwerger (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=224254)
Steven Schwinger (http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=232700). Seems to have retired after that season.

You can create them using Archi's spreadsheet.

Re: International career history
And the attributes which are not manually determined will be randomly picked by the programme at the launch according to player's current & potential ability?
I mean - when creating new players to database!
Injury proneness? Which is good - bigger or smaller number? Which one is likelier to get hurt?

Re: International career history
Hello Mr. A & A (Alessandro and Archibald)
Here is a small "test" spreadsheet which includes full career histories upto and including 2016-17 season for every player in 2015-16 Bregenzerwald roster who was already in database.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/6w5r01ot4ymmr ... d.xls?dl=0
I am working with a Open Office programme and for some reason it failed to save in the same format as your sheet was. Had to go for an older format of .xls spreadsheet. I hope that cause no problems in transformation!
Pls, check if it works!
If it does I will soon have at least some 10 more teams' worth of the same stuff coming (from EBEL & Alps League)!
P.S. Goalie stats are a headache. I was able to find and deduct some, but it appears that all the official stat-sheets of Inter-National League (predecessor of Alps Hockey League) were purged from Austrian Federation's website when that league ceased operation in its previous form
