Has anyone had any success editing the financial information? I've made numerous attempts to make it more realistic, e.g Fehervar in the EBEL, im assuming because they are hungarian they seem to exist with a financial model that is not consistent with the league they play in purely because they are based in Hungary.
I've had team budgets of about 6k and top players only earning 440gbp a season, which compared to the austrian teams are way off even if you take into account their lower rep.
Yet changing the finances in the editor doesnt seem to make any difference to them or any other team/league ive attempted

I'm hoping to edit the finances for the 1974 DB so it's disappointing to hear it's maybe not working - when you say "changing the finances in the editor" what exactly are you changing?nathans wrote:Has anyone had any success editing the financial information? I'd think you'd need to make edits on the league page (Competitions-Finance Info), the team pages (Clubs-Clubs) and individual player pages too (People-Players & Staff)

I haven't edited financial stuff lately, but there is probably some setting for the nation of Hungary to look at, as well

Re: Editing league rules and structures in EHM 1
Hmmm i might play around with it a bit more as i seem to be making a little bit of progress.
The issue with editing the hungary nation financials is that it will then affect the MOL Liga as well, ive just set min team budget for Hungary to 1m usd and it did seem to reflect in game for Fehervar but then also a MOL liga team had the same min budget as Fehervar. Editing both nation finances and league dont seem to work together.
I think the issue seems to probably be more with the game programming than the editor, the wages players demand are not really well implemented for certain european nations, even if i manage to get a higher team budget etc the players still demand very little money in comparison to the other teams in the league. An example being Nikita Jevpalovs, he wants 800 a week to play for Fehervar, but wants 3k a week to play for LInz or Salzburg, yet if i offer him 2.7k to play for me in Salzburg and offer him what he wants to play for Fehervar, he will sign for Fehervar, a team with a much lower team rep, lower city attraction etc despite having the same key role and both teams currently having no players so he can't asses the team strength as well as other team thigns that ive set the same, fans, market etc

Re: Editing financial settings in EHM 1
I didn't even realize their were financial settings on the nation pages (Geography-Nations)
I wonder what League Standard & Financial Power really mean...and how they, along with Reputation, work in connection with all the other similar settings on the league/teams pages? do some settings overrule others? or do they all have to be in within acceptable ranges?
I notice on the nation page in the TBL 2017-18 beta database that Financial Power seems to be set at 1 for all countries (as if it has no effect?)

Re: Editing league rules and structures in EHM 1
I think that's correct because if you view the Austrian EBEL in the Editor via Rules & Structures and look at the Flags screen, the setting entitled "Clubs use financial data for club nation" is enabled.Manimal wrote:I haven't edited financial stuff lately, but there is probably some setting for the nation of Hungary to look at, as well
You will need to set up two entries in the Finance Info screen: One for the MOL Liga and one for Hungary. The MOL Liga will then use its dedicated entry for Finance Info whereas Fehervar will use the Hungary entry (by virtue of the setting I mention above in response to Manimal's post).nathans wrote:The issue with editing the hungary nation financials is that it will then affect the MOL Liga as well, ive just set min team budget for Hungary to 1m usd and it did seem to reflect in game for Fehervar but then also a MOL liga team had the same min budget as Fehervar. I can't say with certainty that this will definitely do what you're looking to achieve as I have not experimented with the Finance Info settings but that would be what the settings in the Editor would suggest.

Cheers for that, never thought to check the leagues flags settings for this, so will give that a go as well.archibalduk wrote: You will need to set up two entries in the Finance Info screen: One for the MOL Liga and one for Hungary.
