Baby decided he didn't want to sleep anymore around 6 am so I had the "chance" to watch the Russia/US game. Man Russia was all over the place! The US were soooooo bad.

USA's best players are college players. The overseas players they named by and large look old, slow, and outclassed.
They should have just named more young/college guys. Hopefully they learn from this fiasco and never do it again.
Well glad to see my Slovenia played so well this tournament so far with two wins over USA and Slovakia. Russians are top candidates for the gold. We even manage to be 2nd in the group..hope we get someone beatable in next round..maybe Korea
Saw a lot of that game and while it wouldn't have been undeserved if Switzerland had won it, I felt Germany deserved it more. It was about the most SUI-GER game ever, pretty low shot totals and lots of tight checking both ways. Exactly what you'd expect.
Even if I repeat myself. For me one of the best tournaments in a long time. Many exciting games. Much more balanced. For the tournament it is well that no NHL players play.
That's incredible. In the group match we would have deserved the victory. Today it was more important. In the third period, we clearly saw that we had big difficulties. One more game played, shorter break, has left its mark.
Congratulations to the USA Women's team on beating Canada and winning the gold medal in the shootout! Had the chance to catch the match and it was a thriller, shame that the winner had to be determined by a shootout.
I think I've lost most of my interest for international hockey. I used to be very excited for Olympic or WC hockey, but lately that has not been the case. I watched only one Team Finland game these Olympics (the game against Norway), and I don't really mind that I missed most of it. Meh. NHL is where it's happening.

I very much wanted to watch but the game started at like 11:45pm local time here. I can do 10pm or 10:30pm start times occasionally (those of us in the Eastern time zone of the US have to deal with 10:30pm start times for NHL games on the west coast), but that late is just... I can't make that work.
