Think you're a good EHM GM? Our GM Challenges dare you to take over a team and make it a winner. The Challenge Forum and Centre are the hubs of our Challenges.
The Montreal one sounds like a good idea given that we have not used them since Challenge #3. Vegas might be a bit of a novelty too. I'm torn - maybe I'll flip a coin.
I will try and get the points from Challenge #45 awarded and the new Challenge started today if possible. Unfortunately I don't have enough spare time to run the Challenges properly (I devote my time to the Editor and rosters) and nobody has offered to run these following my request HERE. So I'm afraid the Challenges are liable to be neglected somewhat unless/until Bruins72 returns or someone else steps up.

Maybe/I'd think so; I like the idea myself...
I tried in the past, but interest was always low (especially for the KHL) and no one was willing to write a guide, which was thought to be needed.
We have done a European Challenge since the release of the new EHM - Challenge #41 with Djurgardens IF of the SHL.
The four Challenges before and after Challenge #41 had more than 10 participants in season three and more than 5 in season five, compared to Challenge #41 that saw only 3 participants complete season three and only 1 complete season five
I'm not sure if it is good or very bad idea, but I thought that maybe someone would be interested, so... how about challenge with using some national team? Maybe some smaller nation with updated players would interest few people?
My opinion would be a new challenge. Looking at the results, this challenge might have been a bit "too easy". A lot of the participants did really well already from the start.

It is rather difficult to find a suitable challenge.
Many members here knows how to get a team running well. We also don't want it to be too hard so we scare away newcomers.

Yeah, I totally get that.
My vote for next challenge would be a CHL team, though. Those challenges always seems to be fun, even though I have only participated in a couple myself.
I kinda lost interest with MTL pretty quick as they aren't one of my fav teams IRL... That being said I wouldn't mind racing to be the first GM to win a cup for Vegas...
Vegas could be fun. Would also like to try an expansion team from the NHL 36 database as nino33 mentioned, it would be fun if we could choose any of the 5 expansion teams. I think the rules would probably have to allow for a few extra moves for at least the first season though.
Now that Nino has stepped down, we'll need somebody else to run the Challenges:

We normally run four or five Challenges per year but this year we have only run two because we no longer have somebody with enough spare time to run things. With this in mind, I think the Challenges desperately need a couple of volunteers to help run things.
Ideally we could do with a couple of volunteers who are experienced with the Challenges (preferably who have completed at least two full seasons in at least five previous Challenges). I can do all of the administrative work (e.g. awarding trophies and setting up each new Challenge via the forum software), but it would be great to have a couple of volunteers who can do all of the following:
decide on which teams to use;
write the short news items announcing each new Challenge;
moderate the Challenge Forum;
review and revise the rules;
respond to queries; and
generally take care of day to day running of the Challenges.
Realistically, the time commitment required is relatively small but volunteers will need to be prepared to spend time on the tasks listed above on a fairly regular basis.
If you would like to volunteer and have enough free time then please post in this thread.
