His stats are pretty good indeed! Like usual, the Nhl seems to put fowards only the teams that are doing well when it come to those awards.CJ wrote:I'm wondering why Antti Raanta isn't a Vezina candidate. I just checked the players stats and if it wasn't from Malkin and MacKinnon missing some games, we could've had 5 players over 100 pts this season. Been a while this happened.

I think this is because he had less games than the other top candidatesCJ wrote:I'm wondering why Antti Raanta isn't a Vezina candidate. Incredible .930 save percentage in a bad team like Arizona.Best in the league for those who played over half of the season.

Re: Official NHL Season 2017-2018 Thread
He probably won't get the Hart, but man I would be ecstatic if Claude Giroux won it. After two hard seasons scoring wise, he's come back with his first ever season over a hundred, and the Flyers first 100 after Lindros did it in the 90s.
He put the Flyers on his back, he's played the season partly at LW and at C, and he's got some crazy advanced stats where he defined the Flyers whenever he was on the ice, and the Flyers sucked when he wasn't there. He willed the team into the playoffs, when a lot of people thought he was on the decline.
Again, he's dark horse, but as a Flyers fan i'm obviously extremely biased rn!

So, which team do you guys wish to see in the Stanley Cup finale this year?
In the west I hope that Nashville can get back there. Even if I wish that Colorado could pull out a cinderella story against them, I need to be realistic too. It's going to be a hard task.
I'm also starting to really like Winnipeg and I hope they can get far too.
In the east I really don't have a team that I like in particular. I guess Tampa would be my pick.

I'm thinking about a Nashville vs Tampa Bay finals, but I'd be happy if Sharks can do stuff

A third Cup in a row would be pretty amazing though I don't wish that they win it again.CJ wrote:Happy as long as the Penguins does'n lift the cup.

I absolutely loved the performance they showed last night, it was crucial to not let Game 1 kill the series and they came out strong in Game 2. Hopefully they can take this good energy into the home games and get a lead in the series!philou21 wrote:Nice comeback by the Flyers yesterday!
