i have used unit tactics with personal tactics together . won two stanley cups online play and won 8 in a row offline with the canucks. now i just use unit tactics when i play offline or else i just dominate the cpu and i let my head coach run the team during the regular season except practise i always control the practise with II nor IM nor MM nor. i try to get coaches that have attacking or direct preference do to i like offense and my players win awards regularly . when the playoffs come input my unit tactics with only using personal tactics for hitting, aggression, fighting, joining the rush and pass shooting tendency. I am in no online leagues anymore used to be in 5 at one time but i couldnt get on for a month an due to inactivity was released from all 5 leagues . so i am currently running 3 seperate leagues offline and have a total of 3500 hours played on ehm. I bought ehm december 2016. this is the best gm game out there imo before i found this game i was playing ea nhl for xbox in total have been playing gm games since i was 10 years old i am 26 years old now

I think I've never used the "Join Rush" option on anyone but I tend to use pass/shoot simply by looking at which stats are higher for the player

Guys, I try to set my lines with my players, I have (only forwards) 13 players t hat *could* play, role as follows:
Goalscorer: 5
Def Fwd: 2
Power Fwd: 1
Playmaker: 2
and then I have the luck to have Panarin (Skilled forward) and Ovie & Bäckström (Franchise Fwds) in my roster. Sadly I have no plan how to interpret these role. Bäckström Goalscorer I guess .... the others? Of course in real life they score a lot, but I could need some more playmakers for sure....
Despite you . dont know my full roster, how would you interpret the 3 guys and how should I set up my lines? assuming the ratings are pretty much okay (dont want to harass you with more names
). So Bäckström & Panarin as scorer and Ovie as Playmaker? then I have only 3 Playmaker but 6 scorer in my lineup (or 5 if I scratch one ....)
any tipps are highly aprecciated.
thx

Well if you follow the real NHL...you can easily assume that Ovie is a goal scorer and that both Panarin and Backstrom are playmakers.

Necro for the last question; in case of franchise players, the 'positions' screen shows their player role even if they are classified as a franchise player.
OTOH, to get a franchise player classification you player needs to have sky-high attributes almost all round, so most of them can play almost any role with decent results. In fact, sometimes I notice as if the increased ice time of playing your offensive franchise stars on penalty kill can actually increase their overall performance. I'm not sure if this is real, but is sure does seem that way.

What player types work the best together?
For example, I have my lines as the following:
SNP • PWF • FINESSE
PWF • PLY• SNP
PWF • TWF • PLY
CHK • DEF • xxxxxx
DFD • TWD
TWD • TWD
DFD • DFD

Somehow Shindig's tactics don't work for me anymore since using the last roster update from TBL. Normally you dominate the league with this settings, now it's a lousy 17-12-3 after 30 games with just 109 goals scored and 107 conceded. What could be the cause? Was something changed I don't know?

Hello everyone,
Do you have any tactics to share? I've read a lot of things but not always clear on the different configurations or levels of championships.
I've tested what I found on the Inferno version for example (viewtopic.php?t=4321), but either I didn't configure my tactic well, or it doesn't work on the Ligue Magnus ^^
Thanks
Pierre

Hey guys,if someone is still here lol , look what I found that ties into our hockey discussion!
We were talking about the unique "delayed penalty" strategy in hockey, right? This tactic, where the team with the advantage pulls their goalie for an extra attacker, turns the game into a 6-on-5 scenario. It's a risky move that can really amplify the team's chances of scoring while the play continues until the penalized team touches the puck.
But here's an interesting twist: understanding the precise dimensions of the rink and player positions can be super crucial in these moments. Say you're analyzing a player's distance from the goal when making that crucial shot during a delayed penalty. Knowing the exact distance can offer deeper insights into the effectiveness of this strategy. And for that, you might need to convert measurements.I stumbled upon this handy meters to inches converter. It’s perfect for when you're diving deep into game analysis and need to switch between metric and imperial units for more accurate understanding.
So, combining the strategic brilliance of the delayed penalty with precise, unit-converted measurements of the rink and players positions, we can appreciate the depth of planning and skill that goes into these critical moments of the game. Isn't it amazing how such details can enrich our understanding of the sport?
