Basically I did home and current reputation matches CA with a 20 point drop for world reputation. This starts the sim without anyone ranked as over or underrated, those develop through scouting and trends with the player/staff. I noticed I wasn't keeping reputation up with CA in the past and this lead to staff/players not being put in the right roles or good players traded/waived by the AI due to unrealistically low reputation.

Nope the starting values are defined in the database, if they are set to 0 they are auto generated (I assume based on CA).

I think this will pay dividends for a more realistic sim, especially as the years progress. The sim's overvaluing of reputation results in a lot of quirks, particularly the handling of declining older players (who still don't decline enough in ability) and contracts.

As a side note, is there a definitive answer on how the "overrated" and "underrated" Assistant GM tags are determined? Is current form factored into it? It seems to be pretty erratic from my experience.

I believe it has to do with the gap (positive or negative) of 'Reputation: Home' vs 'Reputation: Current'

Career histories will be updated over time. The year one rookie calculation is a game bug, rookie status will be appropriate in your +1 years.

So I keep getting an error message. I am using a custom ECK 2018-2019 Without Vegas db. So When I arrive in 2021 I keep getting a schedule error:



I have heared that it is due to missing a team and that the Olympics can cause this... but I have no idea how to edit it and get it to work

I assume you just removed Vegas from the League Structure? The whole schedule template would need to be modified. I can't really help you with this as I can't support modifications like this as it would require massive changes.

General Updates:
- ** Increased NHL club contract limit to 60, this is due to the game lacking the ability to NOT count players signed to ELCs but assigned to juniors from counting against the 50 contract limit (some teams have close to 10 players assigned to junior teams at the start of the 2018-19 season). Increasing this so human/AI GMs don't have to waive/cut players immediately. If I find a way to implement this will revert back to 50.
- Fixed SHL/Allsvenskan relegation issue (I hope for the final time), thanks Shark Fin!
- Increased roster size limit to 30 from 23 for WHL, QMJHL and OHL clubs
- Updated Quebec Bantam AAA clubs
- Added transfer rules for Maritime Hockey League (MJAHL), copied QMJHL, league can now use player rights
- Added transfer rules for Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL), copied WHL, league can now use player rights
- Added transfer rules for Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL), copied WHL, league can now use player rights

I had removed it because I don't really plan on keeping the league updated and to try to keep the DB as optimized as possible. I am really happy to see some folks playing with these leagues though! I kept an export of the league so I can look into adding it back in a future update.

I would have to add additional divisions and stuff which I have never done before. I will make sure the teams are added/updated and the divisions are accurate but making them human-playable is beyond my knowledge of the league structures at this point. I'll maybe revisit this later in the year as I still have a lot of core updating to do.

Yes applies to all rookies in the first year, looks like that rookie class is hard coded.
