Been doing up a database for EHM 2007, updating all the players to their stats in their prime and updating/adding everyone who's been drafted(or undrafted but signed to an nhl team and played 100+ games in the nhl) and I was thinking of adding legends to the game as prospects. I was wondering if anyone would want to help come up with proper attributes for some nhl legends. As it stands I really only know enough about Gretzky, Lemieux and Bure to do up an accurate representation so anyone else I'd have to do some serious research but with some help it would be much easier(and you know, y'all could add them to your own databases). Would there be any interest in that?
Note to mods: I have no idea if this is the proper forum for this. Also if there is interest should I do a separate thread for each player or keep them all in one thread?

You are in the correct forum for this. We do want you to keep it in one thread, so the forum won't get clogged up.
I hope you find someone to assist you.
I must ask, why EHM07? The new game (and editor) is much better

Part of it was, I was a bit disappointed with early access, didn't like how the game did the attributes(14 turned a 44, I'm not sure why) and I didn't like that I couldn't have prospects younger than 14, I created people and they just didn't appear in the game. So I was planning to wait probably 2-3 more years before I try it out again. Give it plenty of time to work out the kinks, get it running more smoothly(though I'm betting they don't give the ability to make players younger than 14, but I can live with that if the rest of it works well). I'm a patient man(sort of).
Part of it is that I like playing from 2006-07 and having over a decades worth of real nhl'ers show up in the drafts. I love that. Even when I find myself satisfied with the newer ones I'll still go back and play '07 from time to time.
But the stats translate readily enough(only new thing is morale, far as I can tell) so people can put them in newer version too.

The new EHM has Player Roles & Key/Essential/Non-Essential/Irrelevant Attributes.....that's likely why you saw the changes (and it also makes EHM07 Attributes not readily usable with the new EHM).Jimayo wrote: Thu Dec 20, 2018 2:20 pm Part of it was, I was a bit disappointed with early access, didn't like how the game did the attributes(14 turned a 44, I'm not sure why).....

I posted the Player Roles & Key/Essential/Non-Essential/Irrelevant Attributes (obtained directly from the game developer Riz) in TBL's Data Editing Forum
With EHM07 there's one type of forward and one type of defensemen (the development for all forwards/defensemen is the same).
With the new EHM there's 14 different types of forwards and 15 different types of defensemen (and the Attribute distribution/values for each of these new Player Roles is affected by the Key/Essential/Non-Essential/Irrelevant Attributes for that Player Role) - for example, in EHM07 grinders and enforcers and snipers and playmakers all used the same system for Attribute distribution/development, now they don't
Players under the age of 14 have always worked in the new EHM.Jimayo wrote: Thu Dec 20, 2018 2:20 pmI didn't like that I couldn't have prospects younger than 14, I created people and they just didn't appear in the game. In EHM07 players appeared and began developing immediately in game (resulting in unnatural Attribute development), and so a fix was put in the new EHM to address this. In the new EHM players don't actually appear in game or begin developing until they're 14, but they're there and will appear when appropriate
