Thanks for the heads up Nino, glad to hear that there is still much going on with the game.
Hopefully there will be more features implemented!

The fact that this game is still developed makes 1 out of 2 adults happy in my household.

EHM status updates from Riz
FYI to all, Riz posted on the SI Boards in the "Still Supported?" thread today https://community.sigames.com/topic/401 ... t-11411085
"Sorry for the lack of updates here, but this year has been a hectic one for me with regards to FM work, which has meant very little time allocated for any EHM development since early on in the year. The 1.5 update is still very much in the works, even though progress has been even slower this year than the year before.
Unfortunately due to my work commitments with FM this year, any major works on the EHM update would have required me to work outside of normal office hours (much like I did earlier to bring EHM back to Steam). However, as noted before, that has not been possible as we have a little daughter now in the family and family time supersedes any personal EHM dev time still. I'm hoping that once the FM19 cycle eases up a bit later in the year, I will again have more time to work on EHM and finally finish the 1.5 update."

Some promising news from Riz yesterday:
https://community.sigames.com/topic/455 ... t-11630552Yes. With the FM cycle easing up a bit after the release, I've now had a bit more time for EHM as well again. Progress is slow but steady. The changelist for 1.5 is already quite long, obviously the editor features are a big chunk of it but there have been a lot of gameplay and UI tweaks as well already.

For real though, very excited for this next update, EHM is the most complete hockey simulator and very happy to see it still being worked on.

EHM status updates from Riz
On the SI EHM Forum Riz was asked over the weekend if the 1.5 update might be released this year/if we might get a preview of the change list..and earlier today Riz answered
Unfortunately 1.5 won't be ready for Christmas/New Year as it will require heavy testing first before it can be released as there is a lot to test with the editor functionalities for example. So even if the actual coding work is completed, it'll still take a bit more time after that to test and finetune everything for release again.
I'll try and see if we can do a sneakpeak of the changelist at some point.

Awesome news!
Really hoping the official editor will unlock and/or streamline some features for those of us who like to tinker with leagues and league structures. Not that what we can't already do great things with archi's amazing editor (which has single-handedly kept the game alive all these years, IMO) - but there's always been some editing items just "out of reach".

I'm definitely hoping it makes such things easier/simpler to doBKarchitect wrote: Mon Dec 03, 2018 3:46 pm Really hoping the official editor will unlock and/or streamline some features for those of us who like to tinker with leagues and league structures. I've never been good at/comfortable with doing league structure changes (even with EHM07), and so with my 74DB even though I have the historically correct number of populated teams (for the NHL/WHA/Minor Pro, Major Junior, some NCAA + European/Russian Elite Leagues) the current process of removing the excess teams and correcting structure/etc is just way to much for me to tackle
The things you and a few others do currently is amazing!

So I'm hoping an official editor might make some of my desired league structure tinkers "more doable" for me; I've had lots to do in the meantime as I've continued to focus on player Attributes/etc and I'm continuing to make progress...slowly

The idea of a sneakpeek of the upcoming 1.5 changelist is exciting

P.S. I totally share your appreciation of Archi and his efforts supporting EHM

Yes I'm really interested to see how Riz's editor handles these things too (assuming his editor will cover this). Setting up the editing screens for the Rules & Structures, etc was a real pain and I'm sure there must be another way to do it. My hope is that the official editor will effectively replace my Editor with regards to basic editing, with my Editor presumably filling in the gaps for mass editing and importing. But in any event I'm going to keep developing my Editor as I think it's good to have options and I enjoy adding new things to it. I do however hope that future patches for EHM will be more game focused because the editor can take a life of its own and divert precious/limited development time away from the game. But I don't mean to take anything away from the fact we'll have an official editor because I've always felt it was vital (and still do).BKarchitect wrote: Mon Dec 03, 2018 3:46 pm Awesome news!

Btw I'd be really interested to know what is "out of reach" or could otherwise be improved in my Editor (obviously in the Editor thread). The Importer functions have been my priority for some time now but I'm getting closer to having them all done and so I can start improving/adding other aspects. I have written a schedule generator which I will look to add to the Editor soon and I want to see if any aspects of adding/editing structures can be streamlined a little. Maybe some sort of wizard (I imagine the old MS Office Clippy appearing saying something like "I see you're trying to replicate the 1992/93 NHL structure, would you like some help"!!!

I'll probably be among the minority with this, but I hope the Editor is an in-game editor (at least for players).
I like being able to adjust a player who may not have been rated very highly who starts to play a lot better without having to restart. That and making an older player young again haha

Just to be clear to all, I didn't say that/Riz did
I'd suggest noting this over at SI with maybe a link to this thread...I suspect Riz would see something there quicker (I don't know how often he checks in/reviews threads on TBL but I'd guess not often)

Do we know what the 300mb update is today? Usually EHM updates and it says - workshop content next to it, today is just a general update but no news?
