Players.EHM file problem.

Hey all, hopefully someone still reads all this stuff.

Just cimpleted a sim and it was noticed the following things:
- The average ratings for players had dropped to around 2 to 3 for most players.
- No players had a scouting report from any scout on any team.
- No players showed whether they were drafted, traded or signed.

I looked at the ehm file from the last saved sim and compared it to the current saved sim.

Lines 15 and 16 (Player ratings for games) & (Drafted, Traded or Signed Status) had been completed deleted for every player.
Lines 8, 9 + 10 (Which scout scouted them) & (Scouting report) were all reset to 0

Some other stats such as goal scoring records seem to be missing as well, but when I look at the players stats page and the statistics page in game, they seem fine, only their average rating has changed so i'm hoping thats ok.

Has anyone come across this before and does anyone know how to correct it (without manual editing as there are thousands of players)
I'm not sure it really needs correcting as long as the problem doesnt crop up again but it would be nice to know what has potentially caused the problem in order to avoid it again. Been doing this almost 18 years now and have never had it happen before.

I did make manual edits to the game file at the start of the sim, put in some consistency rewards and assigned some under agers to the farm. Nothing i've not done a thousand times. If I made an error there, an extra digit, a space, deleted a digit, I wouldn't have thought it could have this effect as it goes through every single player from first to last and the file does load, which normally it wouldn't.

Someone mentioned that this has happened in their league and they found all the players alternate positions were removed. I checked and its happened in my file as well. Was told the only way to resolve it was to go back to a previous file that is ok and start again. Fortunately, I keep a copy of the previous sims file so that was easy to do. For those who run leagues and dont keep copies of previous sim files, this is just another good reason to do so.
