New Freeware EHM problem

This started a few months back when windows forced an update and effectively made the game unplayable. I eventually had to rollback the windows update to get the game working again but before I got to that stage I had uninstalled the game and reinstalled it.

Whether it was that or something else I don't know but now the news for certain teams, and the league news, updates every day with the information of the opening day from the original game files. It does this every day. Any team that had a "trade rumour" receives this romour over and over again, as I said, every single day.

Anyone come across this and know how to stop it ?

It isnt the save file for the games as ive started new games and it does the same.
