Um...yeah 2 points out of the last 4 games...what an accomplishment? Have not looked yet but betting Smetana did not predict?

I've added next weeks' fixtures to the Prediction League now because I won't be around again for about a week. Hopefully I'll be able to get my bro to enter this weeks' scores whilst I'm away (not promising anything, though!).

By the way, can anyone figure out what Points Diff means? All I know is that the lower it is, the better. :-k

Apologies for the lack of updates in the Prediction League - I was away for longer than planned. I've added the next set of fixtures (the first game takes place on Sunday and the other four are on Monday).

Batdad is still top of the table but it's really very close at the top.

Smetana has taken top spot whilst Batdad has slipped into joint second with Devils88, Smidster and Frosty. The fixtures for round six have now been added for you to predict. There are a total of 13 rounds for Game 1 and so we'll be halfway through the competition next week. It's still pretty close at the top but some of the players futher down the table are slipping away. There's little-to-no chance that I'll be winning the competition this time!

We're neck and neck at the moment. It could be a very interesting battle in the run up to Christmas. By the way, the final round of games will take place on the weekend of the 30th and 31st of December.

The top of the pack are starting to move away from the rest of us as Smetana, Frosty and Smidster are joint first. Stinson is fourth whilst Badad has slipped to fifth.

This week's fixtures to predict are now up on the site. The first game is on Friday 17th November.

It's still neck and neck between Smetana and Frosty. B. Stinson and Smidster are below them. Batdad is slowly falling behind...

The three TBL Admins are 15th, 16th and 17th. I was 15th until the final game of the weekend when my bro jumped up above me. Minty is really close on our tails :-D

I'd love to hear any comments or suggestions anyone has about the game in time for the next half that will begin in new year. Is there anything we can do to improve it?

This week's fixtures will be up later tonight :)

The next round of games are up. The first game this week starts on Friday night.

With only four more weekends left (Saturdays 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th December = 20 more games), Jan Smetana is still top of the table. B.Stinson and Smidster are only three points behind. Ramon1982, Frosty and Batdad are still in the fight for the top spot. I think anyone below them is going to have to do very well to be in with a chance of taking first place.

In the Battle of the Admins, I've moved 2 points ahead of my brother, Calv. Minstrel is lagging six points behind me :-p

Minty....shhhhhh quiet. To help you beat Archie...quickly go to Prediction League and predict Edmonton beats Chicago 4-1 on January 9th. or something like that! :-D
Really, do it! Apparently, the game played the other night (which may have had a similar score, between 2 similarly named teams not necessarily in the above order  ) is not scheduled to have the ability to make predictions away until Jan 9th. 2007.

Now, more seriously for Calv/Archie: Even though I predicted a 4-3 score the correct way, if everyone has the ability to change the prediction to the correct score of the game, after the result is in...maybe we should kick that game out of the League? Unless of course there is some way to tell in the old "mod" room if a person changed the prediction after the game was played. Or if it is just me showing I can still change my prediction then forget all this, I did not change mine and won't.

Well spotted Batdad :D I must have put the wrong date for that game and it somehow translated it into a date in 2007. To make things fair, I've removed that game and added an extra game to predict for this weekend. Apologies to those such as Batdad who have lost points for that game because of my mistake

All of this week's games take place on Saturday. Later on I shall put the final weekend's fixtures up (the weekend of the 30th December). Then we shall have a weeks break before we start the second half.

There will be a winner of this half announced once we have completed the final week at the end of this month. The second half will see us all starting from zero, allowing new users to compete. We will, however, be combining the points accumulated from both halves to decide who the overall champion is.

Only two more weeks left until the end of this half of the competition. Smetana is still top but Batdad is hot on his heels, having shot several places up the table.

The final two weeks' fixtures are now on the site and ready to predict. The first game starts on Thursday 21st December.

So here is to hoping Smetana and a few others forget to predict this weekend, and then I get 3 right. A championship for me if that happens. Yeah right.

Firstly, many apologies for the lateness of the final standings. I've been very busy over the past few weeks

Secondly, congratulations to Batdad who has won the first half of this season's prediction league! =D> He pipped Smetana to the post to take first place. Smetana missed out on TBL points, slipping down to fourth place.

Here's who got what:

:1st: Batdad - 3 points
:2nd: B. Stinson - 1 point
:3rd: Ramon1982 - 0.5 points

Here's the final standings:

In the final few weeks I managed to climb up the table, leaving Calv and Minty to eat my dust :-p

I'll get Game 2 started for this weekend. Keep an eye out for the announcement very soon...
