Have not played the game in years. Some questions regarding the public beta

Post by Doomski »

Hi everyone !

I currently have a urge to come back to EHM after a several years hiatus, and I was pleased to see that the 1.5 version is available in public beta. I read in the patch notes that now the pending UFA had more realistic demands regarding contracts lengths and salary.

I remember that something that bothered me before was the fact that a lot of stars players hit the free agency market because their teams could not align with their ever-growing salaray demands, and as a result the player signed with another team for far less. Did this patch really correct this behaviour ? I remember some crazy off-seasons where the free agency market was quite crazy because of the top quality and quantity of players available.

Also, the community now seem to have two great choices regarding the roster updates, which one would you personally recommend ?

Thanks in advance for your answers, I hope everyone is well :-)

Hi Doomski,

both of the roster updates are great, as far as I know, they joined forces to deliver the best experience. TBL rosters are updated less often (if you could say so), Pivot rosters are updated regularly and include the latest transfers and multiple fixes on things like player history, schedules and so on. For pre-season rosters I would choose TBL, if you want to play with the latest rosters, take Pivot.

The free agency market is still kind of crazy with at least 10 or 15 star players hitting free agency. In my last save I had some star players being available, but I think it gives the game some kind of extra spice and I love to see not always the same team getting the cup.

This is just my personal opinion, maybe others see things different.

The TBL Rosters are more-or-less identical to the Pivot Rosters except that the TBL Rosters have trades locked as at the start of the season whereas the Pivot Rosters have trades continually updated. Both sets of rosters are created and maintained by xECK29x. The Pivot Rosters are released more regularly.

What about teams allowing contract offers to top players? Previously it seemed that the game would always tend to limit the best offers by human GM to around 10 million per, or even less, when this would not suffice and where in the open market the players would fetch more. Resultingly your top players would often end up UFA even though you had plenty of cap space to sign them, if only the team would allow you to.

Has this behavior changed in any way?
