Adding Playable leagues

I am trying to make leagues playable that are already in the game. Ive took them from another file and tried to copy them into another database but not sure what I am missing as the game crashes when i load the database in the game

So I have the leagues in the pick stage however when you go to pick the team you want the league is not listed there... Is that because of the schedule list in the editor?

Archi in this document you did Editing_league_rules_and_structures_in_EHM_1%20(2).pdf on page 18 you posted a excel 44 game file but not sure where i can download that from?

I came across this pdf document on a discord page which did not have the excel sheet for the 44 game schedule with it..

It sounds like you downloaded the pdf rather than the original zip file which includes the spreadsheet as well as the pdf. You'll find the download link at the top of this post: https://ehmtheblueline.com/forums/viewt ... 10&t=18927

It's pretty much impossible to say as you have to go through each setting and see what is incorrect/missing. The easiest way to get started is probably to follow the tutorials in the pdf guide so you get a feel for how editing works.

Apologies if this has been asked before (I did a search before asking but vaguely recall the topic being discussed on Reddit... I believe), but can a U-18 tournament like the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup be added to the game? I also seem to remember that this might not be possible due to some "hardcoding" in the game IIRC?

In any case, thanks to the entire TBL community for their great work keeping this game alive. It is a true gem.

I have to admit I have never really experimented with international tournaments, but I think this be possible. IIRC the issue with hardcoding is that it isn't possible to add extra divisions of the World Championships. I might be mistaken however. xECK29x, BKarchitect and ideawithoutamind will know better than me.

Specifically a U18 tournament is tricky. You can add an International U20 tournament. The game only has International Senior and International U20 for national teams. I've tried (minimally, and at the time it didn't work, but worth diving deeper) added rules to specific leagues, that would specify only players under 18 allowed.

i.e. Make a U20 tournament. Play around with league rules and see if the player age can be set max at 18 for the tournament itself. Add all the National U20 teams you want.

The World Championships themselves can be modded a lot. You can add as many different stages and groups as you want. I've had moderate success adding additional division (league) to the U20 tournaments, but the game and menu doesn't like adding them. I think it may have something to do with the ID's or like @archibalduk said, a lot is hard coded.

Thank you for the response and added info! I will indeed continue working on creating a U18 workaround by toggling with the league rules. In the meantime, I've toggled the NHL and the AHL to 32 club 8 division leagues and created a schedule template that has worked through 3 years of game testing. I know this isn't related specifically to adding new playable leagues, but is there any interest in me uploading this for others to use?
