EHM Assistant: A saved game editor/scout for Eastside Hockey Manager 1 [v1.5 beta-6 now supported]

Does anyone know if there needs to be a new update to the assistant? I keep getting that the version of the game I have is unsupported, I have the 1.5 beta on steam and as far as I know it's up to date.

The latest Assistant does work with the latest v1.5 beta. It's worth double-checking that you do have the latest version of the Assistant. If you're running EHM in windowed mode, the version of the Assistant should match the version number in the EHM window title.

No longer working for me, which is strange considering there haven't been any updates to the game as far as I'm aware?

Edit: Seems like there has been an update after all, causing a number of issues.

For those who are suffering from EHM Assistant not working with the new updated version of EHM, but still want to play with it, there is the possibility of downgrading the game to 1.5.0b1555888 using this guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... 2353930763
The download of the content (manifest-ID: 1300668812907632445) could take several minutes, but the downloaded content should amount to 221MB.

If this did not work for you (as it did for me the first time), you could try this:
1.) Deactivate using the public-beta for EHM (Steam will download the 1.4 Version of the game and install it)
2.) Activate using the public-beta for EHM (Steam will do the respective thing as in step 1)
3.) Follow the instructions from the steamcommunity-link I posted above.

One thing to bear in mind is that EHM hotfix released on Steam enables start dates from 2022/23 to 2026/27. If you downgrade from the hotfix then you won't be able to play any 2022/23 roster updates.

When you start ehm assastant, a window appears - bye uppps. Previous versions run without problems

I am having the same issue. According to the official EHM Assistant thread the newest version was released on July 5, 2021. So no update yet.

Hopefully updated soon as this and other posts gain visibility. The game was silently updated last week to address a major issue preventing future DB creation.

My antivirus is also flagging the newest download as having a trojan virus.

I installed BK's NHL X Turbo (Beta) and I am trying to set Salary Cap on 83 milion, but when I open EA assistant, "Finance info rules" page is blank empty

Is there a way to edit the contracted team using the assistant? AKA move a player to another team

I'm not all that familiar with the Assistant but I expect that there probably isn't a way of changing the Club Contracted field. This is because there's a lot in the saved game structure which we do not have details of. Changing Club Contracted in a database via the Editor is fairly simple as it involves changing that field, potentially also the player's entry in the Contract Data table and the club's roster list field. From prior experiments with EHM 2007, I believe there may be more to it for saved games (but admittedly I didn't have details of the Contract Data table in my EHM 2007 editing days) and this is probably why the Assistant has this field greyed out. In other words, changing a single field isn't going to work.

This is why saved game editing is so limited - there's little more you can do than change attributes and figures without needing to make changes to multiple tables within the saved game (for which we'd need details of the full saved game table structure).

Thank you! I saw you replied on Reddit as well. Appreciate all your help. The Red Wings missing the playoffs has got me re-addicted again haha. I browse here every so often to see what's new

Is it possible to change the salary cap with the ehm assistant?
Because I know I did it once before on an old league.
Can't quite figure it out on a new one.

Yes. You go to Competitions tab and select Transfer rules, then look for National Hockey League.
When you have it open you can change the salary cap.

Ps.
If you go to tab Competitions and select Financial info you also can find the cap setting. But if you change it there it doesn´t work in the game. This took me a while to learn. =)
