Heh! Matt Ohlund voted for Rory, and now Rory is ahead of him in votes. Wonder if Pronger, Niedermeyer et al are voting for Rory too! I know most of the Canucks have.

We are safely over the 150k mark now and Rory has actually almost caught Phaneuf in the latest figures :-p

Defensemen
Scott Niedermayer, Anaheim, 390,028;
Nicklas Lidstrom, Detroit, 371,037;
Chris Pronger, Anaheim, 282,528;
Scott Hannan, San Jose, 276,862;
Dion Phaneuf, Calgary, 274,682;
Rory Fitzpatrick, Vancouver, 269,048 :joy:
Mattias Ohlund, Vancouver, 188,511;
Robyn Regehr, Calgary, 153,230;
John-Michael Liles, Colorado, 151,985;
Sergei Zubov, Dallas, 143,302;
Mathieu Schneider, Detroit, 117,518;
Rob Blake, Los Angeles, 107,369;
Lubomir Visnovsky, Los Angeles, 95,658.

Actually I'm going to keep voting for both Hannan and Rory as I have been because I'd like to see two hard working d-men make it in actually.

Next up cracking the 275,000 mark!!! Keep voting boys! :tiptap:

Have you by chance actually read the thread you are posting in? Because your revelation that it's "finally made TSN" was posted by Systemfel on the 7th of December in this very thread:

Well, I posted my TSN post because I saw this new TSN video on Rory on their website. So I posted it. I didnt have time to read every post since I'm preparing for exams. I just want to share what I found on the web with you guys. I guess next time I post I will spend some time reading before posting...

Yeah, he's in second place, only 20,000 behind Niedermayer. I think he's wishing there was a way for him to delete all those votes cuz he's gonna get OWNED on the ice.

As for his getting owned on the ice nobody plays defense in the All-Star game anyway :dunno:

I'm happy the the guy is going to be there for the Skills Competition and the media days etc. it cracks me up 8-) Now if you'll excuse me I have to go vote :tiptap:

I think before Rory goes, he should demand his defense partner be Chris Pronger. Or that he should be given the car automatically.

Me thinks the boys will spend half the game trying to set Rory up...so a guaranteed Eastern Conference slaugher of the West is coming. Although I can see them "letting" Rory have a coast to coast rush!!!

Rory will NOT be going to the ASG... :cry:

http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?service=page ... eid=287061

All that time wasted for nothing? I guess so.
Did the NHL play with the number of votes? I think so.

This is how I see it: there's no way, with the speed Rory's votes been increasing (200,000 a week at its prime), that he CANT make it. After the last released result it should prompt more people to vote and vote more aggressively. But instead, Rory is just 23 thousand votes shy of making it. I say the NHL rigged the number of votes to save face. Shame on you Gary! :thdn:

Oh come on...like they actually give a darn in the NHL office. If they did, the system for voting would not even be there. The likelihood of Rory going even if he had got voted in was nil.

I think a more likely idea, and not a Kennedy conspiracy theory, to have occured is that there are a few million people in the east, in particular in Windsor/Detroit area who voted double the number of times that the Rory people sat at their computer for, once the Rory campaign got popular. Not to mention the number of people I have heard say "God what a joke, no way Rory should be in this game" An anti Rory campaign was all over the TV, the radio and in the paper. And don't discount Don Cherry's influence on HNiC (even if I hate him, and think what he said about Rory is wrong)

So yeah, thecoolstuff there is a way, and it does not involve "The Count" in the NHL office, mixing up counting the ballots on purpose. LIDSTROM fans kicked RORY FANS to hell and back, just like Niklas kicks Rory to hell and back.
