Yeah, early booked show will sell more tickets But if booked too early, you won't sell any ticket during a certain amount of time, as your fans won't buy their tickets so many times before the show. Remember that 2 monthes irl = 1 year in popo...
Other thing that have an impact of the number of tickets you'll sell is the ticket price Many clubs let it set to max so big bands will have as much money as possible. So club owners will check daily the number of tickets sold to adjust your ticket price...some won't, and so you'll have to message them to lower it...
And of course, other important factor is your reputation!
I check our ticket prices and limits several times a day but a lot of people own like 10 clubs and their CEOs are just there to help the club rating and the owner does all the work... So I always message whoever the contact person is saying the name of my band, the location of the show, the name of the club and the time and ask them to set our ticket price for us.
I see the best results for bands that book 3 to 4 weeks ahead. If they do that the can sell more tickets at a higher price. Some people don't seem to care though
Your popularity in that country is what is important, we had bands that were in the Top 10 in punk that had a hard time moving tickets in NY for the Cerebus Tour because they'd never bothered to tour the US so they might have be able to sell out 10,000 tickets at $75 a piece in London and Barcelona but they only sold a little over a thousand tickets in NY at $20. This is why touring is the key.
Do anybody know which city I can find the cheapest Basic Lyrics book? I thought since our band is on a tour I might as well take advantage of shopping outside NY. But so far all the cities I've been in are selling books more expensive than NY...
We can only search the town we are in at the time... so I couldn't tell ya until we get there but you'll probably find better prices when we get to Madrid.
Thanks for the link. It's interesting to read some of the background on Popo. It's also interesting to read about the languages and countries of the users.
Thanks for the link It clarified how experience points are awarded once you've gained all of the newbie experience points. Here is is for anyone else that didn't know:
Attributes are improved early in the game via starting "newbie experience points", given for 15 days, after which it's up to the character/artist to earn up to 3 experience points per week, depending on their in-game activity (specific actions they performed, such as doing shows, jamming and recording songs, etc). The experience points can be spent on either attributes, or health/mood/skills/songs.
So, I'm on my tour of the Americas, and my last show the Rio show going on right now. My last show was Sao Paulo. So, I'm sitting here at my computer waiting for my show so I can finish off the tour and go home to NYC. My show time comes, and I go to move my guy to the club. I can't find the club. I check twice, and the club is not listed in the city's club list. So I let it go to allow the auto-move to move me. I keep updating my browser to get the "went on stage" massage. It never comes. Then, three minutes after my show's time... I get an "Oh no! I missed my show..." message. You guys wanna know why I missed this show? - I'm in the wrong bloody city! I forgot to hitch a ride to Rio! ...Like an idiot, I'm sitting here waiting for my show, when I'm not even in the right city!
That's what we call a bad day! LOL! Blame it on too much partying the night before. It was all a blur. Ever see that "Want to get away?" commercial when the rapper is on stage and says "Hello Detroit!" and his buddy says "Detroit was last night"? Funny stuff!
when the rapper is on stage and says "Hello Detroit!" and his buddy says "Detroit was last night"?
I haven't seen it, but it sounds pretty good.
Anyway, I guess the good news is that... besides the bunch of money I just saved by switching to Geico... the show I missed wasn't very big. My tickets sold were only in the 100 range(as opposed to the 300 to 400 something tickets all my previous shows got).

Sounds it's more the "fraternize" and "pick flowers" issue
But the best way to have your mood increasing is by far "go shopping" A bit expansive though, but if you have a good salary, you could do this all the time, and set your carreer mission to "improve skill". So your mood goes up, and your skills too
I was usually in the 30-50% range in mood. Minty told be about the "go shopping" thing 1 week ago, and now i'm over 70% even if i'm always working on my skills
I still think the picking folowers thing is at best a 'keep your stats neutral' kind of thing, I don't believe it builds you at all, and it's a power loss in "opportunity cost" because you have to stop learning skills to do it.
I've been telling everyone to shop/gym as combined with frequent interactions with people and pets it's what has kept April in the mid-high 80s while jsut hanging in NYC and I had her at mid 60s even at stop 10 on our last tour. Nobody listened to me though becuase of the over-reliance on having/saving money I think. If you've got skills to study and you're not wearing jeans and a popo shirt everyone makes enough (as most of you work for PITH lol) to gym/shop daily and still learn your skills.
For example John (Shadd's Char) was at like 41 when he switched to shop/skill and some four days later he was skilling that whole time AND gained over 15% mood.
