A plea for help from the experts :)

Post by ElQuapo »

I have managed to find good quality pictures (actionshots) of 6 teams from the danish league, and have now been trying for 2-3 hours to get them to look good in the game - but I simply cannot manage to get them good.

I would like to get them to have the "blue blur" that the default picture in the game has - and like Minstrels NHL backgrounds.

I have tried changing the saturation and adjusted the blue in RGB, but to no avail.

Could anyone perhaps type a step by step guide to do this?

Or better yet, if it is not to much work, would anyone be willing to give the pictures the "blue blur" if I put them up on imageshack and link to them?

It would be great to have these backgrounds, but I am just to much of a novice to figure it out ](*,)

Thank you very much =D> :toast:

I have uploaded them as PNG so as not to make the quality poor, so they are a little big. You can save them as JPG though.

I've detailed exactly what I did as far as effects for my NHL logo bkgs in another thread but someone tried it with photos and it didn't work as well so this is definititely a case better taken on by the background master 8-)

Got em done. Minty, your instructions were pretty much right on. Desaturate-Colorize-Gaussian blur-Radial Blur.

To get the variation from light to dark in the pics, I used a striped gradient on a new layer with the blending mode set to Linear Burn. I then scaled the opacity back to around 50%. Voila! Blue blur BG's.
