Well, since I want to see where all my/our collective time and effort takes us I'll continual to play April as frontwoman for TDG, CEO of Punks and owner of my shop too... but the simple fact is that the game's developers are jackasses not worth my time or contributions to try and 'fix' their errors they refuse to even call errors. Quite the wakeup call from working with Graeme and Riz, that's for sure.

So since they have no intention of doing anything about the cold issue if you've interacted in an way with somone not in your band please check in with April that evening after you know you're not sick on a delay. Hopefully while on the road then I can keep health related annoyances that boil my blood to a minimum.

That's another level above don't interact with sick people and when you're sick don't interact with others but this is the silly system they've chosen to enact. :dunno: When not in NYC I will also be keeping my character on 'Arrogant' which cuts down on the interactions available to people not on April's firends list. Not the way I'd >like< to play it but the way I have to.

Seems like they have quite a range going with the "cold proneness", because I've had only a single cold during my entire time playing Popo. :dunno:

Lucky guy! :p

I had some, but not a lot. Maybe once a month, not many more. So the "cold proneness" may be right :dunno:

Don't forget!!

PopoNewYears Eve is Tuesday! Go to your 'toys' section of the local stores and buy yourself a 'small set of fireworks' to set off and it gives you a mood boost!

Those of you on tour currently in Berlin you can pick yours up for $53 at TLL - Martial Arts [Ber]

Wow... this Frank is one condescending, dilusional, self-important moron isn't he?? Even more embarrasing is his posse of followers lining up to diefy him and concurr that everything he just said is right and that he's the greatest. Apparently he feels if he just keeps ignoring us and telling everyone else over and over that there are no porblems with the game everything eventually will be fine. Which might be true eventually, but only because only your friends are playing let alone paying for your silly game anymore.

So, anyone who has a cold I encourage you all to go say his to Leslie Brodie who says she doesn't get sick anymore, she's at the Gemeni Gym here in Berlin. 8-) Couldn't happen to a nicer person.

Sweet! I was just about asking you about that :D

Otherwise, you seem really angry against popo devs... Maybe you're too used to work with Riz and Graeme. You can't compare those 2 fantastic guys to popo's normal guys ;)

Maybe we should ask Riz to devellop a Popo game :p

I don't know. Don't judges have to be VIPs and then be appointed if they've made some sort of contribution to the game?

I currently have one star for Basic Law. I might try getting up to three stars to see what happens (you need three stars to be a judge).

I checked out the NY Court of Justice and it appears that I could contact the judge there if I'm interested in becoming a judge. I think once I've gotten a star for the art of drinking, I'll work on getting to three stars for Law.

Well, drinking is a very important skill for a judge to have. I'm sure you've heard of the judges with their water pitcher filled with vodka. Drinking on the bench. It's the progressive way to run a courtroom!

Ah that's a very good point! Lucky I've just gotten one star for Proper Drinking Habits. I also need to join a secret society, such as the Stone Masons, if I really want to be a judge. Once I've gotten my fitness up, I'll start studying some more law...

I just performed my first terrible concert :joy: That's an improvement over my previous shows. However, I performed in front of no people. It seems that ® Ana ൈ Kiss {Jazz} [NY] is not a good place to perform; every time I've performed there I haven't had a single person in the crowd. This is despite the fact that a ticket costs $1. I booked a couple of other shows for later dates when I booked my show at Ana Kiss and these have all sold at least some tickets :dunno:

No people at all for your show? :-? Do you book your shows in advance, or just the day you'll play live?

I always book at least three days in advance. I booked it on the 16th Feb and I played on the 19th Feb at 22h00. Other shows that I booked on the 16th Feb (which will take place at later dates) had all sold at least some tickets by the 19th Feb. Perhaps it's the venue itself?

You should book a couple of weeks in advance...

I'm thinking it's the venue and maybe there isn't as much of a draw for jazz? I'm pretty confident that the venue is bad and you're not booking far enough in advance. I'm just guessing that jazz isn't as much of a draw. I'm also betting there aren't a lot of jazz clubs in the game (compared to other genres).

Archi: First, book your shows more in advance. Let's say at least two weeks in advance. Two monthes should have greater results. Over 2 monthes, it's useless. Ticket sales will start around 2 monthes before the show (keep in mind that 2 monthes irl = 1 year in popo).

Then, it might be the venue that is an issue... Not sure though, but it's still possible, especially if the building is about to collapse :D

Last idea: maybe you're playing too much in NY. By the time, your fans get bored to see you every night. You should try to play in other cities. Maybe you could make "mini-tours", ie north-american tour, back in NY to rest and jam, south-american tour, back to NY, north-european tour, back to NY, buy a tour bus, rest of europe, back, rest of the world! And then re-book a show in NY :)

Luke's PITH runs normally around break even... his mission with the Club has always just been to give punkers a perfect place to play. He loses money most of the year and then makes it up with a big competition once a year where he gets bigger bands to come play. The past year we had the Cerberus Tour come through so we were lucky enough to have Billy No Talent and other Top 20 punk bands sell the place out at $50 a pop and we made like 2.5 mil on the whole thing but it was a week of shows with 12 shows a day.

But having "the little guys" play your place weekly isn't going to get you very far. You need the big acts that can sell out 10,000 seats at a big price to really make money.

Gosh darn it, only VIPs can become judges:
Certain cool jobs in the game are only available to VIP players such as:

CEO
Judge
Special Agent
SWAT officer

This may seem like a silly question, but how do I arrange concerts in other cities/countries? How can I see a list of another city's clubs and arrange a concert?

Archi, check out the TBL Tour thread. I posted a whole thing about finding locations without the VIP.

That is one of the best things about VIP though; you get a booking assistant and all you have to do is put in the date and time for a city and it gives you a list of open dates and gives you star ratings for each club. Same with jams. =D>

Hopefully Archi won't ban me for off-topicness here, but it would be fun if all of the Popo peeps joined up with our BATracer racing season too  It's a lot of fun and more fun the more people there are playing. Don't worry if you know zippo about racing even, the game is very easy to pick up on. Grab the info in our TBL Racing thread.
