Generating random attributes

Post by Gary87 »

Thanks, I have one more question. How would I make a player which will be completely random, skillwise? I want to create someone who may make it to the NHL, or not even get drafted into major junior. So how would I make him random like that? Oh, and if I want to make someone who is OHL draft eligible, do I have to put him on a team?

If you set a player's current ability and/or potential ability to zero then these will be randomly generated. If you set any attribute to zero it will be random based on his current ability rating.

What about the potential ability? If I want to put in a negative number, do I put it in current, potential, or both?

Thanks for all your help. One final question.

If I want to cheat, and make the perfect player, would I set all his attributes to 20, and his current and potential ability to 200?

Yes, that would be the way to make the ultimate player.
