Retire Jersey

Post by Knoeppel »

Does this thing work...
i´m in year 2014 now and i´m yet to see any retirement of any jersey number...

Anyone else who have/have not seen this?
Anyone who knows what it takes to make it?

I was kinda hoping on Mats Sundin or Daniel Alfredsson number to be retired, but it didn´t happen.

From recollection, in EHM the player would need to be with a team for a long long time, and be playing for that team at the end of his career to have the number retired. In all my games Sundin actually has left Toronto, and ended somewhere else, so his jersey never got retired. Not that I know if it is even listed as a future to retire number, or how to set it up.

However, if you search here or at SI forums..I am sure I have seen a topic on how to get future jerseys retired.

I used the Rocky Mountain Rage of the CHL for about 19 years in my game before the newest patch and I had a defensemen who was with the team for all 19 years and he had his number retired.

I think he played in over 800 games and had about 300 points. Good solid guy for any minor league team, his name was Tyler Marsh.

Do the players have to use the same jersey number for all the years at the club?

I just use the "auto assign numbers" and sometimes players get new numbers.

All I know is that Marsh did wear the 28 and 29 jersey for the Rage in those 19 years. I believe he wore 28 for the first 5 years and then went to 29 for 2 years and then spent the other 12 years in the 28 jersey.

They retired the 28 jersey for him. So in conclusion of saying that, I suppose it is what jersey he spends the most time in. Then again, I could be totally wrong. If anything, it might be what jersey he's wearing when he retires. But then again, I'd have to test that theory to see if it would happen or not. And trust me, it'll take awhile to get that result.
