Every time I'm about 10 minutes into my EHM 07 game, my computers resets. It's very annoying seeing as most of the time i have work on here at the same time.
Does anyone know why this is happening?
Why does my computer keep reseting?

Wild guess, PC resetting might not be a specific EHM problem but something like your CPU cooler not working. Most CPUs have a protection system and turn itself off after reaching a certain temperature. Obviously the temperature increases with the CPU load which is higher when running a game than when you're just browsing the internet or doing some office work.
Try whether the same happens with other games.

I have Microsoft XP if that helps your first question. For the 2nd one, the only things I have running usually are Microsoft Word and the Internet. I also have my antivirus programs running, so I'll shut them off and see if that works.archibalduk wrote:What OS are you running?
The most probable factor is something that is running in the background. What do you have running in the background whilst playing EHM? You might, for example, want to disable any antivirus software whilst you play.

SI forum is surely a better place to find some answers on technical problems.
Some basics routine question:
1-Have you installed all the patches?
2-Are you running other applications while playing EHM?
3-Does your OS is fully updated?
2. Look at my other reply.
3. I don't know what that means?

He means have you installed all of the Windows XP system updates.Mo9 wrote:3. I don't know what that means?holydogg wrote: 3-Does your OS is fully updated?
Is your computer resetting just with EHM or is it other software too? Also, are you using a custom database in EHM? Let us know whether disabling you antivirus software solves your problem.

Computer suddendly turning itself off with no apparent reason, might also be because of a hardware failure. I used to have that problem with my old display driver (Radeon 9600 XT). It would get worse and worse until a few months later it wouldn't start at all anymore and I had to buy a new one. Another reason for this kinda computer failure was the fact that I had the motherboards own sound system enabled at the same time that I had a separate sound card. So the puter, poor old thing, was trying to play two sounds at once and crashed.
The way it crashed was, it showed a blue screen with text on it for a second before it resets.
Ofcourse, if your puter works fine with other programs than EHM, I wouldn't start meddling too much with BIOS or buying a new display driver...
