Moncton sucks too. In fact the entire QMJHL sucks. So does the OHL, and almost all teams in the WHL, especially Everett, Kamloops, Medicine Hat and Kelowna

Go Giants!

Watching the game between Rouyn-Noranda and Val-D'Or, and I'm just wondering, these players don't get payed, right? They're juniors. Right? And still they get a pretty good audience and they have sponsors and what not... so are the QMJHL teams making big profits on this, because they don't have to pay wages? - or am I wrong, do they actually have pretty good paychecks, and this rule only applys to other, smaller junior leagues? :-k

Now it's time for those boring to death summer months... Thanksfully, the QMJHL had the good idea to keep all their games available to watch at any time on THIS site (go to the "Live Games" section and select a date on the calendar before selecting the game you want to watch). It will help to go through summer faster :D
Taloncarde wrote:Shad, I found that page for the "Q" as well as a similar one for the "W" and the "O", are the archived games from this season going to be free on that site (at work right now)

And stupid question, but how much of those games is broadcast in French :p
Could you please give the links for the W and the O? :) (only if it's legal stuff, of course ;))

As for your "stupid" question, some games of the Q are broadcast in French, especially those of the Quebec Remparts. But i think you can also watch them with English commentaries (don't remember how though, as i'm obviously not annoyed by the French language :D)

Both are paying unfortunately :( 3.95$ for a single game... I don't know for the season pass. Let's hope the Q will remain free for a long time! :D

How do you access the free games on the QMJHL link you gave? I clicked on the "Archive" link but can't find any games using the calendar on that page :-?

Does anyone know what happened to www.icehockeyleague.tv ? They used to offer British EIHL and Canadian Juniors coverage online as a subscription service. However, their site doesn't seem to exist any more. I was thinking of subscribing ](*,)

ESPN360 / NHL Center Ice - Now available worldwide

Post by archibalduk »

https://europe.espn360.com/sport/NHL.aspx

ESPN360 is now available worldwide except Russia, Italy and the Middle East. This is great news for people outside of North America as it will enable you to watch live and archived NHL games throughout the season.

What is ESPN360?

https://europe.espn360.com/help.aspx?he ... #general_5
ESPN360 delivers the most comprehensive video coverage of North American sport in Europe. With free access to highlights, news and analysis from a diverse range of sports including Baseball, College Football, Basketball, NHL and MLS there's plenty of action to choose from. There's also a premium section featuring live streaming of NHL and NCAA matches, as well as all your favourite ESPN shows, from Pardon The Interruption to Around the Horn. Plus you get a fully interactive experience with real time news ticker, extended press conferences and more. ESPN360 will change the way you watch sports online.
Basically, it will let you watch the NHL on your computer. They're charging £6.99 for a one day pass and £69.99 for the entire season (that's over 1000 live NHL games). I'm definitely very tempted to subscribe for the year but I think I'll try the £6.99 one day pass just to see how good the quality is (I'm not paying all that money for a low-quality, laggy stream!). I'll let you know how I get on...

Btw, I know this belongs in the TV streams topic but I thought I'd post it separately for those of you that don't normally look in that topic. I'll merge this into the main topic in a few days time...

I watched couple of NHL games last year in ESPN360 I think, when they had that free campaing going.
That worked fine with my slow connection.

But no I am not gonna order that yet. Even if that is so cheap.
I have Canal+ :-p But not for long if they not start to show any of Flyers games.

Not a big fan of American style sports broadcasts to be honest, all the sponsor messanges, sponsored replays, sponsored "keys to the game", over the top graphics etc makes me loose focus. :D

I suppose that serivce has all of those disturbances?

Ive been using ESPN360 so far this season and i havent really had any problems..................quality is good and hardly any buffering/freezing

I mainly signed up just so i could watch every Leafs game (i must be crazy i no) but its opened up opportunity to watch teams which i would of never really got a chance to ever see on NASN (who all ways seem to favor showing the Eastern Conference)

Works out a lot better then paying for NASN, who don't even show anywhere near the amount of games you can watch on ESPN

Ah I'm glad I've found someone who has already subscribed to 360 to get their view.

I was weighing up getting Setanta Sports on Freeview (which show NASN every night/early morning) and ESPN360. The advantage of NASN is obviously the TV quality picture and you don't get any lagging. However, 360 would let me choose which games I want and when I want.

You say the quality is good - how is it full screen? Is it watchable from a seated distance?

I see they have "condensed" versions of the games. How long do these condensed highlights tend to be? I'm wondering if it's like Match of The Day where they show roughly 20-30 mins extended highlights or whether it's just a six minute highlight reel.

Off-topic: I work at County Hall in Maidstone - small world! :D

Quality in full screen ?? well its good in my view & i don't exactly sit that close to the screen

You can see the puck & what players are on the ice, which is good enough for me..............considering a lot of the poor quality games ive had to try and watch using P2P, Justin TV etc where i didnt have a clue who was on the ice let alone where the puck was

Condensed games well they haven't added any games from this season yet so i cant really comment.
