Yeah, I know. He's better than what I had last year though atleast in the 6 games I've played him. As far as the avatars go, I can't make them. Thats why I don't have one for me. I don't have any graphics skills. BTW, If I remember correctly I and a couple other non mods get schooled avatars as well since we went in on the bet as well.

Yeah you non-mods can have them too if you want. But for me...I just like beating/whooping/throttling the other mods/admins. So I am not going to enforce anything on you guys. Just the mods

This is what I came up with from earlier in this thread. My original idea was to wear the schoolatar until somebody finished the next season but we were all on the second or third season before we ever found out who the winner was for season one. So that doesn't work out so well. What do you think?

Hmm...does not matter to me. How about wear it til the date that the 2nd season deadline is set for? That way it will change when Calv does the stats. Wait...no it won't!! You know what I mean.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Every time a new season's winner is announced, it's a new bet (or whatever). Sounds like we're on the same wavelength. We still need to get Shadd, Catchup, and T-bug wearing the schoolatars though.

LOL! Trust me, a schoolatar is not a good thing to have!

We did open up the wager to others at the start of the challenge. In the last challenge there were just a few mods (and Archi was in on it too, wasn't he?) that made a little side wager. We decided to try it again for this challenge and had a couple other people join. Of course, it's a tough competition. The people involved have been the winners of the last several challenges.

I've played some thirty games of the second season now and just started to offer new deals to the players whose contracts are ending next summer. The best news came from Marco Sturm who accepted two year deal without a raise - and this was his second deal without it! That's the spirit! I have succeeded to make new deals also with Cam Barker, Dave Bolland, Ryan Hollweg and Brent Seabrook with only a little raise. Robyn Regehr is still considering. But then there is my fellow citizen Tuomo Ruutu. He wants a raise of 1 million per year. He has been good, but not that good in my opinion. But because I have been thinking to get rid of Adrian Aucoin and Mikael Holmqvist of my core players after this season, I have to pay Ruutu.

This season didn't start very well, but somehow I've trusted the team much more than any teams earlier. And after about fifteen games all started working better. And the best (and weirdest) thing is that after 25 games Blackhawks was the best SH- and PP-team of the league! Now it's the second best on SH and 7th best on PP, which is still pretty well, and I don't have a clue why. But what the heck, guys keep playing and I keep smiling as long as it lasts and try to figure it out afterwards.

I don't even know. And btw..my first 20 bonus points in the last challenge-I was about 10th. And same with the second set. I won on the pts for the challenge.

ok think I figured it out, from the scoring thingie

Teams with the most improvement over the previous season's:

Wins, Total Points, Goals Scored, Power Play Percentage, Team PIM

And the teams with the most improvement in recording the least:

Losses, Goals Against, Penalty Kill Percentage

So users in season 3 will get bonus points for improving on season 2 etc..

Bleh! I've got to do bad in a season to come back and do great in the next and get bonus points? Sounds like a lose-lose to me!

Just kidding!

This just goes to show everyone... if you struggle in a season, don't worry because maybe next year things will be better.

no no I'm pretty sure all that is bonus points. It's just if you were horrid the season before you get bonused even more.

Then explain how the CHAMP has the most bonus points..with a power play that was way way worse than the first year.
