Porting the game to another computer?
Is it easy to port one's season to another computer? is it simply a matter of reinstalling the game and copying the savefile itself? Or is there more to do? Any help on that aspect would be welcome.
In essence, I guess I want to know how attached I can get to what I'm doing before I have to get a new computer.

Yeah, you're allowed to have the game installed on 2 computers. If you're getting a new computer, I would "un-license" the game on the old computer and install it on the new one. That way you still have the extra license. Or you could still keep it on that computer if you're still going to use it. Anyhow, after that you can just copy the save file onto a CD or whatever to bring it over to the new computer. I actually transport my save files between my work computer and my home computer quite often. I just use a USB flash drive. I've never had a problem.

Just want to underline the importance of the un-license bit that bruins mentioned, since so many people seem to ask about it/have problems with it...
Any time you want to transfer a current install of EHM to a new machine, you must unlicense it from the current machine. That way, it'll be put back "on the shelf" for you to use again when your need it. Otherwise, it'll just stay "in-use" with the old machine even though you're not actually using it.
However, if you want to install the game on a second computer while still keeping the first one... then you simply install the game on the second machine using the second key you were given. Then I believe you can just save your game-saves to a flash drive, and tote it between your two computers... thus increasing the amount of time in which you can spend playing a great game, and not interacting with society.

LOL! I used to play The Sims but I don't know if I'd compare it to EHM either. Still, they're both enjoyable. I take different roles with the two games though. I never really enjoyed playing The Sims, I just liked to build their homes. In EHM, I never liked modding (or more correctly, never tried) but I love playing it.
Stinson, you're right on with what you had to say but I've got one nitpick. We weren't actually given 2 license keys. We were given one that eLicense tracks the use of. We're allowed to use that one key on two computers. Right? Or am I totally remembering wrong?
