Best SH Goal Ever?

Post by matt44 »

........Or just a massive Belfour-up by Smith? lol

I was short handed against the Stars. Jovanovski had the puck behind my net and blasted the puck which hit the boards on the bottom of the screen mid ice.......... Smith, for some unknown reason, was stood to the left side of his crease and the puck just sailed straight in!

Nearly spat my cornflakes out!

That's a rare "bug" of the game ;) It occurs to me every once in a while, let's say once every two or three years.

Still a nice goal to get if you need it at the time.

...or a horrible goal to allow if you were tied in the final seconds of the game 7 of the Finals... :D

Not a bug in the game Shadd. May be a 2D bug, but the game calculates the score and sometimes the 2d engine just has to find a way to display a goal happening..and occasionally funny things happen on screen.

Just like in the real NHL...Dan {cough} Cloutier.

So it may have actually happened that way. Smith fell asleep.

Yeah, you're right, more a 2D bug than a game bug.

Still funny goals though... :D ...or not, depending if you're the scoring team or the scored team...

Once I was in the Stanley Cup finals game 7 against the Rangers and I was down a man and lecavalier dumped the puck hard straight down the ice, then switched off for Richards and he raced down and grabbed the rebound of the backboards, past both defencemen and scored a breakaway goal. I was like "holy ****".
