Is it possible the puck was shot from the red-line, then penalty was called, then the goalie left the net while the puck was still in motion towards him?
If so, perhaps thats something SI needs to take a look at.

Why was he passing it back to Nitty? I notice a lot of players shoveling or passing the puck back to the netminder - I've had a situation where pressure was great, and my D pass the puck back to my goalie - but it dribbles past and into the net - scored on my own team! I can see some situations where it's a good thing, but I think it happens too often in EHM.
I've heard of this and another type of "weird goal" that people claim keeps happening to them, but even though I watch games at extended highlights, I've never seen either of them happen.
It's even worse when a clearing attempt ricochets off the side boards and slides slowly towards the net... Not to worry, the goalie is there... Oh wait, he inexplicably went behind the net as if to intercept a dump in! He scores!!
