I guess I'll see you on the ice, CatchUp. But don't go expectin' your Jagr-ness to be coming out with me in net.

you moved to Turku!Tasku wrote:I've been moved to Kärpät Jrs in the scout report (yes, may not happen I get it), but definately means that I'm out of contract from TuTo. Up, up I go to SM-liiga! Yay!![]()
4th line potential suits me fine. Maybe, if I'm lucky, I won't get signed to the NHL and I can take Espoo Blues to the finals and Championship!![]()
If I do get signed though, I'll just take the money and pain and moan if they throw me down to the AHL.
All summer moves have been done, Corinthian is the only player without a club, I may sign him to a club if he fails to get one before October, I don't want him retiring on me this early!

The teams have a limit on the number of young guys they can play. Many players even superstars do not play in the junior leagues at 15 and 16. No matter how high they are drafted. Especially if they get picked by a good team who is stocked with older players in the position you play. Don't worry about it.
I signed with Chilliwack in the WHL, but they still may send me down because I will barely be 16 when I go to camp this year. Most WHL teams only keep 2 16 year olds on their rosters. Same is true in the other leagues.

my kid takes a huge step backward:
last year:
Played 50 games with 53 goals, 49 assists, +43, 54 PIMs and a rating of 8.44
This year:
Played 48 games with 28 goals, 48 assists, +36, 44 PIMs and a rating of 7.92
he's still not taken in the CHL Import Draft
will he bounce back or will he play in the hockey lowlands of new york and philly

Flexx Torso:
Played 66 games with 9 goals, 8 assists, -2, 161 PIMs, 9 fights instigated, 8 fights won and an average rating of 7.06
Playoffs:Played 6 games with 3 goals, 8 Assists, +7, 6 PIMs and an average rating of 9
My guy didn't have a great 2nd season but look at his playoff stats!
So what does it mean that everyone else has moved on in the off-season but he hasn't? lol

I think the low ice-time explains the high numbers. For example, a goalie who plays two games and gets two shut-outs will have a perfect SV% and GAA, whereas someone who has played a full season would find it almost impossible to maintain averages like that after 50-something games.bigargon wrote:what is strange is argon has one of the best GAA and save percentages, but get hardly any ice time
But don't worry, I'm moving on to Sudbury. So you should be the #1 guy in Philly now(or very soon).

Wow, can't believe I completely missed the start of this and now my guy is making so much noise
06-07: 50gp, 40g, 73a, 113p
07-08: 50gp, 32g, 72a, 109p
What I don't like is the comparison to Glen Metropolit. Are you kidding me? I have good vision and exceptional playmaking skills...
Now I just have to find Swift Current in the middle of nowhere to start my WHL career
Great stuff! Keep it up Calv!!
