OHL Training Camp

Post by MKoivuFan »

This is a kind of a two way question but, when i play as NHL Teams i like to do summit series for my prospect camp.. For OHL camps i was thinking abut that but which european teams would be best against OHL Teams. Like for example if Omsk has a team like would it be realistic to play the Omsk - 2 Team type thing or no?

It's actually a vey interesting idea. I like to do mini-tournaments, but with the top team. Maybe a team from Russia, Sweden and Finland, alternating them from year to year. It makes fo interesting competition, a change from the same NHL teams over and over.

Doing it in a prospect mode woult be very, very interesting.

About your questions, well, I can't help much but I suppose that RSL-2 is and adult league. For interesting competition, you could try College teams or even IHL (AAL-4) teams for a challenge.

I havnt played much with Major Junior Leagues but i know the main camp starts around the 24th or so of august but i was wondering when is the earliest date you can start offering tryouts to non players that u own rights to... The reason why i ask is because i want to have a free agent camp before i go ahead with my main camp...

Superleague

Vyschaya Liga

Pervaya Liga (in which most of the farm clubs play)

Vtoraya Liga

Junior League (which is a bit of different in game and IRL, but amen)

This is the Russian leagues breakdown.
All but junior league are adult leagues, with Pervaya and Vtoraya being semi-pro at 50/60%. Remember that Russians turn pro at early age 16/17/18 years.

I would reccomend you to play your OHL team against one Vyschaya Liga team, they usually have pro, but young rosters, or against farm teams of good teams like CSKA, Avangard, Ak Bars etc
