PNGs work as well as EHGs. That shouldn't be any problem. They all go in the same folder.

.DS_Store is a file generated by some Apple Mac software (I think it's something to do with ZIP-compressing files). You can delete that file.

Hi!

there are three different formats of Playerpics EHM can use. these are .ehg, .png and .jpg.
you can use all of them. there is only one difference. if you have i.e. three cards of sidney crosby in your pics folder in all three formats -
.ehg will display first
.png will display second
.jpg will display third

so it can be that you have some cards twice.(1 in ehg and 1 in png, but it only shows ehg)

that's the reason why i make cardpacks .ehg files :-D

ds.store file: you don't need it in your pics folder......

Another note, if you ever see a thumbs.db file you can delete that as well. A note to file creators, make sure you remove that file before packaging your files for upload, in some cases it can save people hundreds of k in download time/bandwith.

Another question: I want to do Facepack for HC Košice. But when I look to players folder there are no players from HC, so how to name the file with player?

First question is: is it a league that uses 'faked' names? If so, there's not much you can do, for now.

If they aren't you'd just need to start up a new game and and check the players on the starting roster. When you click to their player page you need the player name and birthdate. That will be how you'll need to name your files. PlayerFirstName_PlayerLastName_DayBorn_MonthBorn_YearBorn.ehg

There are real names in Slovak Extraliga, so for example Jaroslav_Kmit_12_9_1979.ehg or .png or .jpg ?

The reason both JeffR and I would work on them as .pngs instead of .ehg's is convenience really. We were working from the game pics and converting them to the 'vintage card' style sets.

The .ehg's in the game really are .pngs, just renamed. No image editing software will open them without renaming them to .png though; so it can be a pain working on them.

The ones that are .pngs on our server were actually sets we had lost and then restored from my personal working files as that was the segment of the original set I helped Jeff with. :nerd:

Photoshop, though I don't have CS. My copy of Photoshop 7.0 was actually sent to me as part of payment for an image project I worked on a while back with an old friend of mine. He moved and now owns an independant agency outside of Boston. 8-)
