All contracted players will be in their teams. Drafted but not yet signed will be in the unsigned prospect lists.
I.e. Kane will be with the Hawks, and the Lightning will have Stamkos' rights - unless they sign him, then he will be signed in the DB too. Ive got a bunch of players I need to create/upgrade from the 2008 draft before anything will be released though.

One thing ive been wondering are players like Toews, Kane, Gagner, Nik Backstrom, Mueller etc gonna be updated so they are good enough to put up points in the NHL straight away, like real life or are we still gonna have to wait years leaving them in Jrs & AHL ??

Also players like Tlusty (to be fair didnt have a great year but what do you expect when he was stuck on the 4th line) , Stralman, Kulemin, Radulov etc who's ratings are brutal!! pretty much nowhere close to playing in the NHL

The staff at TBN have already done a great job in working on the attributes. Its also on my to-do list (which is waaay too long) to take a look at all NHL players and base their ratings on the 2007-2008 season. The first group of players will indeed be able to put up points, and the Toronto group will be rated after their previous season.

"All contracted players will be in their teams. Drafted but not yet signed will be in the unsigned prospect lists."

so what does this mean for the 2007 and 2008 draft, will they 'in game' actually be the 2009 and 2010 draft, with all the birthdays changed for the undrafted prospects?

Yes, that's exactly right. The 06/07 season in EHM will simulate the real-life 08/09 season.

All pics still work, they just need to be renamed. A user called Daigle found out how to do it quickly.
Daigle wrote:Heya everyone... Will do sort of an introduction after this to some other topic if I happen to find one. Am more of a Football Manager guy (The Dugout and FM Underground). Posted this to EHM Finland, but might as well post it here too now that I'm getting the hang of EHM again :)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had slight problems with the La-Z roster update and the facebacks downloaded from TBL. The birthyears in facepack files were different from what they're in the roster update. So in order to make them work together properly, I was forced to find a solution to automate the process instead of going through nearly 7000 facepack files individually in my \players\ folder.
So to make for example Alexander_Ovechkin_17_09_1985.jpg turn to Alexander_Ovechkin_17_09_1984.jpg.

So I looked onto options today and came up with one plausible solution which ended up working perfectly. Using birthyears as search strings and by replacing the searched strings, this turned up to be quite easy to do. I assumed all players in the game were born between 1960 and 1994.
So here you go:

1. Download and install Total Commander from http://www.ghisler.com/download.htm
2. Open the installed application and browse to your data\pictures\players\ -directory and select all files that require this change (practically all files)
3. Go to Files -> Multi-Rename Tool (from menubar on top)
4. Set the following settings seen on the screenshot: http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o273 ... 612625.jpg (see below for the values used with search for and replace with)
5. search for:
1960|1961|1962|1963|1964|1965|1966|1967|1968|1969|1970|1971|1972|1973|1974|1975|1976|1977|1978|1979|1980|1981|1982|1983|1984|1985|1986|1987|1988|1989|1990|1991|1992|1993|1994
replace with:
1959|1960|1961|1962|1963|1964|1965|1966|1967|1968|1969|1970|1971|1972|1973|1974|1975|1976|1977|1978|1979|1980|1981|1982|1983|1984|1985|1986|1987|1988|1989|1990|1991|1992|1993

So practically the first one Rename mask: file name & Extension and those search and replace values. The other settings should be fine as a default.

6. Click start and wait for it to process. Shouldn't take too long. I'd say from 10 seconds to a minute. Depending on your computer speed and the number of files to change.
I did it like that, and it worked like a charm.

Lidas, are you changing the ages of every single player in the database, or just ones in the NHL/major leagues? Will players in the English Premier League (just for example) be changed too? If so then I feel sorry for you, that's a lot of work.

I believe, Lidas is changing the ages of all the players in the database. So all the players from all the leagues will have there D.O.B's changed to show their real age.

The Lightning signed Stamkos yesterday.

Guys===You do not need to post every signing in this thread. Lidas is getting his signings off the net from credible sources such as TSN. ALl is good, and I am 100% sure Stamkos will be signed to the Lightning in the db once it is ready to go. Jasonponty--Just heading off 20000 posts about everyone changing teams, not directed specifically.

We will get there. We will get there...or at least the guys doing the db work will. Lidas you are a god!!!

When's the most realistic date for this to be released? Not rushing anyone, I just can't wait!

Well, you will learn to wait.

We plan to release it globaly when the NHL season starts, in order to have the most up-to-date possible rosters. That means somewhere around end of September / start of October. It might be a bit later if the work progress at a slower pace than expected (and there's a huge amount of work!). There might also be a pre-version if we're way in advance.

Anyway, we'll keep everyone tuned when we'll be about to release it or close to release it, so there's no need to ask for a release date on a regular basis. 'cause well, the time spent to answer is not spent to work on the DB, which delays things a bit :D

Hey all. First of all I wanna thank you for putting down all this work into this project. I love you :).

About the editing, I have a question. Are you going to change something so you can play the KHL (the russian league)?

I have updated all the KHL teams so they have current rosters, but since RSL can only hold 19 teams, I had to put the other 5 somewhere else. Dinamo Minsk are in the Belarus league, Dinamo Riga are in the Latvian league, Barys Astana, Torpedo Novgorod, and Khimik Voskerensk are in the Vysshaya league (RUS-2).

But actually I have one real question too, about this 08/09 rosters.

Are you gonna do anything about player histories and infos?
Now because that newest editor supports editing player infos too.

Meaning that the players acts like IRL in waivers, UFA's and RFA's and things..

I know, lot of work to calgulating and adding those things..
