You will still start in 2006, but everything will look as it does in 2008.
What Lidas means is that the 08/09 update will have everyone's years of birth with two years added to it. The 07/08 update has original dates of birth.

Is this the best up to date roster?

This is the best update currently available, assuming what it offers is what you're looking for.

"Best" is a matter of opinion.

I think it's the best, some people might think there are better ones available. ;)

My rosters are so underrated.. that was one reason, why I freezed my 08/09 rosters too.

Your work is very highly respected here and everywhere, and I hope you keep to it.

I just prefer correct birthdates to correct age that is why I prefer the TBL update.

Anyways, like I said, it's a matter of opinion in what you're looking for in an update and there's no clear answer to the question that would apply to all EHMers accross the globe. :-)

I've moved the 08/09 discussion in this thread to the correct thread: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... c&start=75

I think I found a SNAFU in the TBL 1.5 07-08 Roster of Lewiston. It has two Marc-Andre Crete players (one is spelled Marc-André Crête) both are left defensemen born on 5-7-87 in Montreal. Marc-André Crête is 5-'10" and shoots left while Marc-Andre Crete is 5'-11" and shoots right. Both weigh in at 163 lbs. If there are actually two players IRL, ignore this post, but it seemed a little weird.

BTW...It's my 300th Post!!!!!! Yeah!!

Question on TBL:DB

Post by dmacgreg37 »

I'm new to EHM 07 (have played 05 for a long time, but not for over a year until recently). I just bought 07 and was looking to start up with Spokane of the WHL (the team I played in for several years with 05). I was starting a career with the TBL:DB v1.1 . It is my understanding that this is the most unfaked db without attribute changes/roster changes. Is this correct?

If so, and I am going to use this DB, I have another question. For some reason, the WHL 2006 Bantam Draft #1 pick Jared Cowen has his rights on Regina, rather than on Spokane, who drafted him. Is there a way to change this, or would it be easier to start a career as GM of SPokane and Regina, trade him to myself and then resign in Regina?

Sorry, if these are noob questions or if they're in the wrong place. Thanks.

mod note: Moved this to appropriate thread, was at top of page 2 of threads. Not really concerned with this one, but for future, please do a thourough thread search. Thanks

You can use the pre-game editor to change his rights to Spokane.

The TBL:DB 1.1 is not updated for the current season. It only goes as far as the 07-08 season. Lidas' roster update is updated for the current season. It does have attribute changes though. He's also changed everyone's birthdate so that they were born two years earlier, making everyone 2 years old so that even though their birthday might be wrong, they'll be the correct age in the game (because the game always starts in 2006). I'd suggest checking out the Lidas rosters thread and reading more about it.
