I dealt for Hagman too. They pulled the same thing with me. You've just got to wait them out. They'll make another move a week or two later that will allow them to take your guy. I ended up getting Hagman and Moore for Frans Nielson. I just had to wait a bit.

Okay, thank for the tip B72.
I've got to game 40, so I guess it's time to upload my stats, and yeah I got the screenshots for 1-20. :P

Oh, and is it just me who find it hard to get over the salary floor, whatever trade I do the assistant warns me about it. I'm thinking about promoting Okposo to Islanders from Sound Tigers to try to get over it.

I was running into the salary floor issue for a bit but finally traded over it.

Man, I'm way behind everyone else. I haven't even gotten to 40 games yet! Stupid work keeping me from EHM! :swamped:

I haven't played for a couple of days because of all of the things I have to do in school, but tonight I don't have anything, so tonight it is EHM night. :D :joy:

Wow. someone qualified for the playoffs before me for the first time in ages. Like way back in the CBJ or Fantasy challenges. Wow!.

And who was it you ask?

The Vancouver Canucks.

Sundin
Jokkinen
Sedin
Sedin
Demitra
Luongo
Ohlund
Salo

Gee I wonder why they do so well in EHM?

Well, knocked off the top two teams in the conference (barely), Rangers in 5 and Sabres in 7, but lost 4 straight to TB. They then went on to lose 4 straight to Detroit in the final.

Feel like I've got a good grasp on the challenge thing now. Looking forward to not screwing up my off-season signings.

Thanks for the input and feedback from Bruins72 and Batdad!

What the hell, the Flyers are imploding..

It started with Knuble and Hatcher, but now they are throwing away ALL of their players.. This is stupid they aren't even up against the cap. they were in the playoffs..

Jones, Carter, Briere, Timmonen and Nittymaki were all claimed off waivers.. What the hell are they doing?

I'm sitting in 2nd in the east. The only team better in the east is the Buffalo Sabres. I am 3 points behind them. They are 6 points behind the Detroit Redwings. I hope to have caught both of them by the end of the season. I now have Zubov, and RDP back. In the next few days I will have Witt and Martinek back. RDP in his first game back put up a shutout. I plan on doing a couple of trades to see if I can get some more youth in. I have no need for Danis. I am thinking of moving MacDonald as well. He is currently taking up space in the AHL.

Yeah no kidding.

Next up: Matt Carle and Geoff Sanderson.

Toronto is benefiting from this the most.. They claimed Carter, Briere, Carle and Upshall lol

Grrrrrrr...

I'm convinced that EHM is TRYING to make me lose.

It seems everytime I'm a) down by one goal, b) tied or c) trying desperately to cling to a one goal lead I always get called for a late penalty to a) guarantee that I won't come back, b) go down a goal late or c) give up the tying goal.

Last game, down 3-2 to Tampa, I was called for 4 minor penalties in the final 8:37 of the game.

Killed them all, but :37 of even strength hockey is not enough to come back.

It pays to use the Shortlist!!!

Flyers in my game have started to get silly as well. They placed Jeff Carter on waivers.

Sure enough, Colorado picks him.

Had him on my Shortlist, so was notified right away. Colorado was capped out after picking him up so I offered Handzus ($4mill/year) straight up for Carter ($5mill/year) and they took it!

WOOHOO!!

Two more games, both down one late, penalties assessed in the final two minutes.

How the heck do I stop this?!?

Anyone have some advice for me when playing the Lightning?

I usually get pounded by at least 5 goals.

No matter which tactics i try.

i just got an trade offer from trashers, i dont know how to respond to it

http://img10.imageshack.us/my.php?image=espositozx4.jpg

hunter is brutal right now 76p in 54 games.

angelo is a huge prospect and would fit in very well with my tavares and jack johnson generation.

They would give you much more for Hunter for sure. You should take a close look at Esposito and his season stats. I have never traded for him because it's just too risky. ;)

Lol, I got Weiss and Ribeiro too, good centres, Ribeiro struggled at first, but now he's playing good.

Finally got my game off the ground, let's see how this goes.

Young UFA signings: RW/C Carter Camper, RD/LD Dennis Urban, G Daniel Spence.
All 20 year olds, figured the rest of the roster was pretty old and/or usesless so I went for youth and signed them for three years each. Urban is the #4 D-man in Bridgeport accoring to my AGM, Camper is the #3 RW behind Okposo and Jackman. Bridgeport is pretty heavy on centermen so Marcinko was sent back to juniors for this season to get more icetime.

Opening night lineup was as follows:

Danis-MacDonald

Sutton-Streit
Meyer-Pöck
Campoli-Gervais

Bergenheim-Comrie-Guerin
Tambellini-Weight-Hunter
Hilbert-Park-Sim
Fritz-Colliton-Comeau

Our first game of the season was a wide open affair where the Coyotes beat us everywhere but on the scoreboard. PP%, PK%, SOG, Giveaways, Takeaways, Hits, Board Battles they dominated the game from start to finish. Thankfully all that matters is goals and we won the game 7-5.

Campoli-Gervais were +3 in the game though, I might make them my second pairing if they can keep that up. =D>

Highlight of the game: Meyer's SH breakaway goal.

I hope that won't be my only win in the first 20. :)
