Eishockey Manager 2009 / Ice Hockey Manager 2009

Post by getzlaf15 »

After browesing the internet, i stumbled upon a small website offering a new hockey management game, ice hockey management, however, i do not a lot about this as it seems to be quite a small project at the moment. Theres not an awful lot of information on the game itself, except that it has been released in Germany and is expected to go international in the first quarter of this year.

The game looks decent, it supports a 3D match engine among other things. Could be an interest to people as maybe the future of EHM for a while...

More info here (german gaming site):
http://www.gamestar.de/spiele/sport/444 ... _2009.html
I don't have a clue what the german text is all about, but the game received a rating of 63 out of 100, so might not be that great a game. On the spieletips site ( http://www.spieletipps.de/g_019258/eish ... -2009.html ) it has a rating of 51 (out of 100 presumably).
But then again, on this spieletips site nhl ehm 2005 received a whopping rating of 69, so they might not like hockey management games at all.:-o

What you probably don't know is that the former versions were called "DEL Eishockey Manager 20xx".

So that is what the game is about: only the DEL!!!

And basically all tests say that the AI in this game is brutal thus the results arbitrary.

Ah that game. I have one of it's earlier versions.

It's complete shi-te. Totally unplayable, no realism. After a couple of days I switched back to EHM, and if I'm not going to hear praises from you guys, I'm not going to try a newer version either.

Umm... no actually, I had to check so I wasn't giving you all bad info.

The game I have is Ice Hockey Club Manager 2005. It also only has the DEL and some lower German leagues. But I think they're nonetheless different game, although some of the features sound quite similar.

This one is by JoWood and Greencode. :dunno:

Ahh, i feared it would just be the German league as there wasn't anything to say otherwise, thanks for the information on the game.

I made the same assumption as you. They really do look very similar.

in one of the screens there is a category for "highscore" ...strange....

When i saw the title of this thread, i was hopeing that it's not a MMORPG, but it being DEL only is just as dissapointing.

When you said it is going international, im guessing you mean that the game will be selling internationally, not the game is going 'interational' league wise?

I have a feeling that EHM is still far, far better then this game. I bet that GM hockey is better then this one......

Code: Select all

It's complete shi-te.

I have the game, too. I have worked closely with the community and developers. I have created a original roster Update for the community user, but the game is so unrealistic and flawed. Now i have to be fed up and play EHM again! :tiptap: :-D

Unfortunately the company that created this game has become insolvent. If you visit their site, you're greeted with the following message:
http://www.the-games-company.com/ wrote:Dear Visitor,

You are trying to access a domain that previously belonged to The Games Company Worldwide GmbH. Following a decision dated August 31, 2010 the Charlottenburg (Berlin) district court has initiated insolvency proceedings regarding the assets of the company “The Games Company Worldwide GmbH”. This resolution transfers all rights to the insolvency administrator, Hartwig Albers of Brinkmann & Partner.

Development activities have been assigned to a third party company in collaboration with bitComposer Games GmbH. At the request of the insolvency administrator, all remaining publishing activities are being transacted with immediate effect by bitComposer Games GmbH.

Please use the following email address to contact us for any matters relating to TGC:

bitComposer Games GmbH is an independent publishing company and has previously acted with some success in this area owing to its excellent reputation as an advisory company in insolvency proceedings in the PC and video games industry. bitComposer Games GmbH is working in close collaboration with the insolvency administrator to analyze contracts and commercial transactions, evaluate assets, find subsequent employment for the remaining employees, restructure activities and to expose and pursue any willful delay in insolvency proceedings.

It seems bitComposer is not continuing the Eishockey Manager series.
