Anyway, if he came to exist after the 2006-07 season, then yes, he is most definately a regen. There is no other way for new players to be created into the game than as regens. "Who's regen" is a whole another question.
Whoops sorry bout that. I accidentally tried linking straight from my gallery from this website. I put em on photobucket, they should work now. There's 2 guys that im sure have to be regens of pretty good players, but im unsure of when they came into the game exactly. One guy is 13 so im pretty sure he just came into the game. Here they are:
Well I'm actually towards the end of the 2nd season. 1st season was the '09 draft. I've already got tavares, hedman, paajarvi etc. Playing in the NHL or are owned by NHL teams. The euro I'm assuming is a regen of one of the players that retired before the first season.
Lakrisal wrote:cant find him on eliteprospects.com so yeah, I guess he's a regen.
yeah i've been trying to nail down who he could be but i couldnt figure it out. I eventually just gave up. as he develops i guess i'll update a little bit on him. He was drafted #3 by the Toronto Maple Leafs and has stepped right in and so far has a goal and 3 assists in 4 games.
It was 2017. The players that were being recommended to me were not very good so I started looking around to see if I could find anybody better and I found him.
I have simmed a few more years and he has done quite well. He was a +39 in his rookie season.
I hate that work rate though. That's a real bummer. I'm a real nut about mental attributes. I hate having guys with below a 10 in determination or workrate.
I believe that it will always be a regen of a player from the original database. I had a list of all of the top players for EHM 2005, height, position, handedness, aggression, flair, etc, and I used it as a reference to figure out who I'm looking at.
The best way to figure out who you have is to start a new game with the database you are using and look for the key stats and attributes on an original.
1. Is there a quasi-definitive list of items that are consistent regen markers? And if so, can someone post them? I know they are from the same country and have the same/similar certain mental attribs, just don't know what they are. Any help?
2. Is there a way to view players who retire? The only notifications that I have seen that a player, who isn't on your team, retired is if they get HoF honors. Of course, if a player retires and you move past the date where the player DB updates, you can't even search for them any more. I consider this a regen questions as I intent to use the info to help ID regens. Any help there?
Keep in mind, some of the hidden attributes, including consistency, used to show only on regens but now they seem to show on everyone if you're using Lidas rosters. That is no longer an indication of a regen.
LOL!!! I guess I should have done a search. Look on the bright side... at least I didn't create a redundant thread
For the record, getzlaf's info was what I was specifically looking for (i.e. how to determine who a particular regen was. The stuff in the other thread was more on how to determine a regen or not
Thanks for the info.
Hey guys, did a search for "Linden" on the forums and couldn't find anything so I thought I'd ask:
Really want to find and nail down the Trevor Linden regen for my Canucks dynasty. I'm using Lidas DB1.3, and at the start of my game (06/07) he retires and goes into the Hall of Fame. Can't look at his stats because it won't let me click on his name.
Wondering if anyone else has been able to find him, what his stats were, and how he turned out for you. He's probably my number 1 want at the moment.
Since he retired in 06/07, I assume that he will show up as a 14 year old in 07/08. Therefore, would be draft eligible in '11 or '12.
I'm pretty sure he's 6'4" so I'd have to look for a guy around 6' at 14? Haha

I've found if a player on my shortlist retires, I get a news item telling me about it. Although thinking about it, that may just be if they don't have a club, the message is "Player X cannot support his family playing professional hockey."

I am pretty sure that you would get a news item if you had that player shortlisted, but I hardly use that feature. I try to keep my shortlist clear to keep from getting 300 items a day.
Drafted #1 overall 2009 (got the pick from Avalanche suitingly enough). This has to be the Peter Forsberg regen. Same consistency (17), same height, hes a little lighter but still only 20, same potential ability (checked using editor), same ratings for LW/C/RW, and what do you know... same injury proneness at a rocket high 19.
Still he has only had minor injures so far during his first two seasons whilst racking up 69 goals, 143 assists in 157 matches.
Injuries so far:
twisted knee - 13 days
shoulder contusion - 8 days
thigh strain - 2 weeks

I never played with Lidas' rosters, but he might have put the command to make consistency ratings (and more) show up into the extra_config.cfg.
Before you ask... yes, there is such a command. I'm not quite sure how and why it stayed in the game but it did. Graeme Kelly, I think, once talked about it at the old SI boards but suddenly all the threads about the topic were deleted and he never talked about it again. I think that was during the time of EHM 05, but it still works in the 07 version.
If you put it into the extra_config file and start a new save the game shows you consistency ratings for all players (maybe more like disliked staff and teams, not sure), shows you the ratings for chairmen and makes negative scouting reports possible. It works like the ARSE command from Championship Manager, if you know about that.
Edit: Now that I clicked on the link in your post... the command also makes those mental characteristics viewable for all players.
