Selne, I think you'll see some of what you've suggested in our new rules. If not exactly the same as you suggested, some might be along similar lines.

Oh! I didn't know you have already released the new rules. I thought you were still thinking about it.

We haven't released them. We're working on a set of new rules and we're about to start testing them. Some of the things you were suggesting are along the same idea as what we've got in the works.

1. draft picks untouchable: must use all your draft picks in the draft and cannot trade for other picks.

2. UFA/RFA signings: only one UFA signing per season allowed, he must be european or if not european born he must play in Europe (because these player are harder to get and to keep)

3. trading allowed with prospects, rights, contracted players but one restriction:
only one component may be included in every trade. For example if you trade for a player you are only allowed to give up one of your players.

4. of course no trading for injured players.
all 4 good suggestions

The only thing I'm not liking is no 2. I don't see why we should limit who can be signed. I see it almost as saying any signings must come from the UHL. It just seems arbitrary and would rather there just be a number of UFAs that could be signed.

I'm new here, so excuse me if what I'm going to ask is going to sound like a stupid question:

In the current rules in challenge 12 rules; can I trade a player that has a full-time contract but has been sent to a junior team? Is he counted as an unsigned prospect or not?

If he has already been signed to a contract and playing for your farm team, he's okay to trade. The rule about no trading of unsigned prospects applies to players who are not under contract (thus "unsigned").

The player in question is Joshua Bailey. He's 19 years old so he has been sent back to Windsor Spitfires in OHL, rather than any of my own farm teams. When trading him it will show him as a normal signed player but in the news section when the trade is supposed to take place it says that I'm trading "The rights to". He is not a player I've signed during the game, so in the player's history there's no statement that he has signed a contract.

He is signed by Islanders, but on loan to Windsor. I think he counts as a signed player, not sure though, probably B72 has a better answer to this.

We're all aware that Bailey is under contract to start the game and loaned back to his junior team. Everyone has him and many have traded him. It's not really an issue. In the case of players you might sign during the game, send back to their junior team, and then trade, they will have a line in their history under 'news' that will say that they signed with your team. It's all easy to prove.
