making the game as real as possible w/ editors

Post by Rydes »

what should I do to make my game as real as possible with the pre game editor? should I adjust the attributes or contracts etc. on any players or staff? I always notice that in the first few years players like Sakic, Modano and Lidstrom always leave their original teams... which would never happen. so those were the first I changed. what else?

I just updated rosters months ago so players like Turris and Evander Kane aren't Swedish 3rd division 4th liners.

I'm not sure you can prevent players from leaving teams.. the manual contract extension might work

oh yea, what about nhl affiliates. I haven't played with the most up to date database yet, but I remember in recent ones some teams didn't have AHL teams and weren't able to have many players in their farm system. I remember Dallas being a team with this problem, and as soon as they acquired players they had to release some. Is there a solution to this?

Let them share a AHL-team with another team, that's the only way, as you can't add more teams to AHL in the editor as the number of teams in every league is hardcoded.
