No, he's not a regen. He is in my game too, so he's a real player. Never heard of him too, but he seems like promising player.

And if you use Lidas rosters, you can see every players consistency, not just regens. So that won't really help you deciding if the player is a regen or not.

Maybe it's because i play with the original database but i'm in 2011-2012 and i got no Patrick Russell in my game. He's he got fake name maybe? or just came with Lidas database.

2 quick questions regarding potential regens....

I hope this is the right place for them.

First question is that I have a goalie who I picked up in the second round who is very solid in overall stats. It was the 2009 draft. This goalie is Hybrid Style, and was born in Austria. My knowledge of goalies is not fantastic, but he is projected to be Kari Lehtonen. Does anyone have any idea who it could be? I got him 60th overall.

Secondly, I have this defenceman who i was lucky enough to draft 3rd overall. Screenshot will be included

MOD NOTE: Moved this to the proper thread. Please do a search next time. If you had just searched "REGEN" it would have given you this thread. - B72

As I tell everyone else regarding regens:

Load a new game with all the leagues enhanced and the "fog of war" off. Next filter the players for what you are looking for. First, look at the youngest players to see if the guy you are looking for is new to the Lidas DB. Then look at the older players to see if you find one with matching Height, Position, Handedness. Some of the mental attributes stay the same, and with Lidas' DB we can see the consistency, which will help narrow your search down.

That being said, the Swedish defenseman could be Mattias Norstrom because the height, position, and handedness match. Aggression is also the same, which I believe to be a key 'regen identifying' characteristic.

I don't know who the goalie could be because the only candidates don't look good enough to be Kari Lehtonen.

Hey i need some advices. I draft this guy Dick Wahlstrom first rounder ( 30th ). He was rank 104th, i stillcan't believe this with is overall, but i already sign him because i want him to play in his junior team immediately to continu is good developement. All the attributs you see at 17 was a 15 at the beginning of the season and the 20/18 were at 17/16. He is really good, here's the link to is picture.

And now i'm gonna show a picture of is stats, he play for the Fogs Devils in the QMJHL and je put up a 9.73 ratio with 103 pts in 60 games.

He's ready for the AHL for sure, but he done so good in the junior and he's overall are so good that i don't know if i should already put him in the NHL. I'm asking this question because i don't want to destroy is developement. Because it's a rare thing that i got some good prospect like that and i don't want to spoil him.

I think I might've drafted Sundin's regen. The height, position, and handedness matches him. Consistency is an 18, and he's got pretty good stats for an 18 year old.

He was left for the 30th pick in the 1st round.

Wondering if this guy is a regen too?? I took a look through the Hall of Fame but didn't see any Slovaks that retired lately. Maybe he's just a game generated guy. Whichever he is, he's going to be really good. Scouting reports say he's projected to be a better, more talented version of either Gaborik or Marian Hossa.

No. Since you are in year 2010, your regens should be around 15-17 years old maximum. This is real player, look here.

I think you get european regens starting from 2009? Europeans regen as 16-17 year olds and Canadiens as 14 year olds, thus this guy appeared in the game from 2008, so it should be one of the first players to retire.

Wondering if anyone could take a guess at who this might be. His first season in his stats is 2012-13, but the only Canadian goalies in the Hall of Fame from around that time retired a year before that or a year after that. Or is he just some random guy? Using Lidas.

Which version of Lidas roster do you use? All new players in 2012-13 are regens. Regen's original player doesn't have to be in hall of fame, he just has to retire.
