Lidas--Not sure if you have looked at this for 2009-10 updates. In your db's for the 2008-09 the Stars rightfully are not given an affiliate.
This is causing issues in AI for game play. The stars rarely keep more than about 28 guys under contract and release alot of good players because the AI does not LOAN out players for some reason in the numbers needed to keep the stars stocked with players. So..you see things like in the challenge comments with Abdelkader beings signed and released, signed and released. Then you see very good prospects who are not making the team released. This continues in the game as long as you play it, and no matter what the Stars have as players..they end up losing becuase they have no depth.
So..for 2009-10 and future db's even if the Stars are splitting affiliates like they have been in real life, we may want to look at giving them a team in the ECHL like Colorado and Chicago have their teams in the ECHL because of AHL issues for numbers of teams.
Just a thought..

Dallas Stats will have an affiliate with the Texas Stars in 2.0. I'm not sure where they will be placed, but they will be there somewherebatdad wrote:Lidas--Not sure if you have looked at this for 2009-10 updates. In your db's for the 2008-09 the Stars rightfully are not given an affiliate.

Hey Lidas...
Thanks for the continual updates!
I noticed a few minor tweaks for a future update.
Mason Raymond (VAN) has his speed too low. I use the 1-100 rating setup and he is at a 70. The guy is lightning fast, so something in the area of 95 would be preferred. Also, his stamina could be lowered a little.
Sami Salo (VAN) His slap shot is too low in the game compared to real life. I would like to see it around the rating that Alex Edler has it.
Also, Kyle Wellwood is more of a third line center now...perhaps moving his ratings around to be less offensive and more of a energy player/grinder.
One other thing. Whenever I aquire Kirk Maltby...he absolutley sucks for me. Is it just my bad luck, or do others notice this?
Did some changes, but Raymond already had great speed, and Salo had as good slapshot as Edler. / Lidas

I just noticed that you have Dwight King loaned to the wrong Lethbridge team. He should be loaned to the Hurricanes not the team in the CIS. And also, Cedric Bernier's favourite staff is the wrong Jonathan Bernier. It should be his brother, the defenceman and not the LA Kings goalie. Minor things but I think they should be corrected

Zack Kassian signing NHL deals at age 17?
Using the Lidas db, Zack Kassian of Peterborough is 17 at the start of the game, right? Yet, in my games, NHL teams tend to sign him before he's even drafted. Anyone else having a similar problem? I've tried adding NHL rights and then deleting them in the editor, but he's still free to sign nine months before his freakin' draft.

I have a few thoughts on the realignment of minor teams in North America.
AHL add Texas Stars and Lake Erie Monsters. Send Iowa Chops(Will they even play?) and Peoria Rivermen to the ECHL.
ECHL add Iowa,Peoria,Kalamazoo Wings. del Dayton,Mississippi and Lake Erie. Columbia can stay as they will have a team next season and then I think Phoenix stays for geographical reasons
CHL add Allen Americans and Missouri Mavericks and delete Austin and Rocky Mountain
UHL/IHL add Dayton Gems and Quad City Mallards and delete Kalamazoo.
Then I don't know what teams to fill the league with. Evansville will join the league next year so maybe them. We could wait and see if the EPHL survives.
There will be some divisional tweaks, as well

Why would you send Peoria to the ECHL?Manimal wrote:I have a few thoughts on the realignment of minor teams in North America.

The Blues own that franchise and it will be in place for a very long time.
