Peter Forsberg (all time favourite without doubt)
Alex Ovechkin (best there is, despite being a pens fan I rate him higher than Crosby)
Linus Omark (he'll take NHL by storm when he gets there)
Henrik Lundqvist (is there a better goalie, really?)

It would definitely be Mike Bossy at first (since his name so closely resembles mine), and then Wendel Clark.

Al MacInnis, Scott Stevens, Mike Richter, Ray Bourque, Rob Ray, Tie Domi, Peter Forsberg and Brian Leetch.

Needless to say, I prefered the more physical aspects of hockey.

Only really liked Forsberg because he was pretty much hailed as a hockey god by the media in Sweden at the time.

I've merged Qikdraw's "Favorite Players Growing Up" thread into the "Favorite Players" thread. It was a little redundant.

Growing up Ray Bourque and Cam Neely were always my top two favorites. I also liked Andy Moog a lot. Then there were guys like Adam Oates a little later. I liked the B's goons like Lyndon Byers and Jay Miller. I liked "Stump" Randy Burrige. Dave Poulin was another player I really liked.

I was 15 in 1994, so the teams playing the Stanley Cup finals around that year had many of my favorite players. Linden, Bure, Babych (can't forget his moustage), Geoff Courtnall, Beukeboom, Leech, Esa "can't shut my mouth" Tikkanen

In that time I also loved to see tough guys such as Kocur, Probert, Domi, Berube. These were really cool, weren't they

And alltime? Sakic, Coffey, Bourgue, Francis, Jagr, Brett Hull (he is similar to Tikkanen in some aspects).

I was 15 in 2006, but my favourite players are from the 1990s. So there were Joe Sakic, Patrick Roy, Peter Forsberg (because they played in Colorado), Saku Koivu, Teemu Selänne (because they were the best finnish players), Ray Bourque (he was the best defender I knew and played also in Colorado). Then there were also others like Eric Lindros, Brian Leetch, Pavel Bure and Theo Fleury.
